Besides a stray 2010 outlier, Auburn has been unsuccessful at turning victories over Alabama into National Championships. Further proof was last year when Auburn won a meaningless SEC west title and then proved it was a fluke against Georgia and UCF.

What gives Auburn? Why are you unable to have the killer instinct?

Youll never be a great program till you do.

Beating two #1 ranked teams in a row was a fluke?

How many SEC or NC does your school have?. Auburn and Alabama have combined for the last 5 NC.

Troll aside, Auburn has kept Alabama from winning three or four other national championships.

Punt Bama Punt, First Iron Bowl in JH, and Kick Six off the top of my head. Pretty historically important IYAM

What does the logo next to his name have anything to do with the content of his post? Terrible logic.

Meh. We beat bama and went undefeated and or were the national champs in 1983, 1993, 2004, and 2010.

That is pretty solid. We beat bama about every other year for anout the past 30 years and you do realize you are not awarded a national championship for beating them, correct?

It's meant a lot in the state of Alabama.

Last Season was an exception;sort of.

Bama definitely wants to avenge Auburn's Iron Bowl win last season.

It may have meant nothing historically to you.

In Alabama, that game IS history. Whether its for the title or not. That game gets talked about 365 like no other I've ever seen....Well, LSU talks about the Bama game 365 but I mean when both sides talk it.

We're the only team that has beaten them with any degree of regularity. The rest of you pussies need to step up your game.

Auburn Men would rather beat Alabama instead of lose to Alabama and win a championship. That is the mentality they have always had and always will have. For us it is the opposite. It won't ever change.

Historically Auburn beating Bama has brought them their best coaches.

Auburn beats Bama and wins 1957 National Title, the next year in 1958, Bama hires Bear.

Auburn beats Bama 5 in a row from 2002-2006, then Bama hires Saban in 2007.

Id say our victories have meant a lot...

I guess (a) you have never lived in Alabama; (b) you don’t understand... (c) Frick you.

Other than that have a nice day.

You know this as a SC fan all too well.

Frankly, beating Bama means nothing because we all know they are the best team so they have a CFB playoff deal similar to ND's NBC deal. True story. All hail Bama.

Not many teams can say they beat both UGA and Bama in the same season. Much less a gamecock.
