This is deserved. They beat Auburn, who beat Alabama.

I saw we still have a flawed system but it will never be perfect.
Bottom line in my eyes: Alabama, Georgia and Clemson would of mopped the floor with them in a title game.
If Auburn was playing them in the title game it would of been different also.
Auburn didn’t get up for that game. Was more of a consolation game and they still almost won.
UCF had some skill no doubt, but not enough for the biggest stage

Cool. The NCAA recognizes like 23 or 24 National championships for Alabama. It's cool if you want to count this one for UCF as long as you count the 23 for Alabama.
Deal?

Good for them. It's not like they could've done anything more.

Technically, Samuel Huntington was America's first President.
The relevance of both facts (e.g., UCF natty in ‘18, President Huntington) is open to interpretation.

Actually, if I am correct, that is the source that also shows Auburn with 5 National Title and Georgia with 6. It isn't an official record. That simply names everybody that any organization recognizes.

The NCAA does not award National Championships, btw. The recognize them, but do not award them. This is a record stating National Championships that are awarded by just about any publication.

How many does it officially recognize Bama with again? Asking for a bitter Barner Boog.

Could UCFhad beaten Bama? It’s possible that they pulled together and played above their level for one game and pulled off a miracle win for a national championship. It’s just one game. Anything is possible. A run of bad luck for your opponent and a run of good luck for you when you have a decent team. Yeah, it’s possible. It’s happened.

Is it likely? Probably not.

According to that, Alabama a can now claim 21 national championships. We can add 1945, 1966, 1975, & 1977 to our list. And, it's official, Bama can claim 1941. No more laughing guys, it's legit.

Got 21? Bama does!

It’s about time.
They deserve it.

I think there should be a new rule in the playoff system.

No mulligans and no byes.

They had an awesome year, won all their games and beat a good team in their bowl.

Good for them. I don't really get why anyone cares. Everyone knows the real thing, but they had an awesome year and can rightly argue they whipped the team that beat both us and Georgia. That's a legitimate reason to at least play it up as a claim.

It's probably an error. When the 2013 records book came out (August 2013), they actually had Notre Dame listed under 2012 for a few days.

Also, you and your fellow Auburn fans should take a look at page 112 and see that they also list Alabama for 1941. You can't have it both ways.
