Typical. He retires and then moves to Florida.

Huh? Jacobs is the one who let out S&D program die. Allan Greene hired a great coach as one of the first things he did as AD.

Good for Jay. He did a lot for Auburn Athletics and I wish him well.

One of the few times we disagree. Im fine with him retiring and enjoying the consdierable money he got from Auburn and the state of Alabama, but not cool, with him going to the enemy...and I am old enough to still hate the gators in a major way.

How was there not a non-compete clause in his contract? We’re ok with a former AD joining a conference rival, but god forbid if an athlete wants to do the same. The hypocrisy of the NCAA knows no bounds.

Hope UF fans like only hiring coaches with former UF ties

Same here. Had he taken a job with the a school in another conference, wouldn't have thought twice about it. I wonder if he shows up at the baseball game in Gator gear.

I don’t care where he goes. He has earned the right to get another job. No matter where it is.

They've had the torches and pitch-forks out for Jacobs since his first day as Auburn AD and they finally got what they wanted.

Now they want to bitch about the fact that he's moved on with his life.

I guess maybe they wanted him to go to prison and never ever be seen or heard from again or something.
