No state income tax. Another smart move by Jacobs.

I've never loved Jacobs, but the hate is undeserved. For every shite decision he made, which there were plenty, some hire of his had a great season to offset

- Basketball: 1/3 SEC Champs from his hire

- Baseball: First Super in almost 2 decades, his hire

- Football: 1/2 Nattys + 2SEC Champs from his hires. 4 Major bowl appearances in past decade

- Softball: We are relevant for the first time i can remember

- Gymnastics: Made NCAA Championship + beat Bama first time ever

It was time to move on, but Auburn is one of the highest revenue departments and won big in multiple sports under his watch

Didn't Auburn give him some perks also like press box seats at Jordan Hare, an office and unlimited game tickets? Am I making that up? If I'm not does he still get to keep those?

David Housel gets Arena Club for basketball. I want to say he sits Nelson club for football, but not positive

You are absolutely correct with the above. However, remember the ticket scandals, Loosing Coach Marsh, Softball Scandal, I am sure that I am forgetting a couple of things over the years, didn't he also hire Lebo and the other one I forgot before CBP. Yeah he also hired the previous baseball coach. So along with the good comes the bad.

Tony Barbee #NeverForget

I was in 6th grade when we made the NCAAT in 2003. Im 26 now. I suffered for literally over half my life waiting for us to be good again. My struggles will NOT be forgotten, lest we go back to that dark place.

You think the darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the basketball success til I was already a man.

Ya, I said I didn't love Jacobs and it was time to part ways

That said people act like he was on the grassy knoll shooting Cam Newton

Know what I also haven't forgotten?

Barbee not signing a contract for something like a year and a half into the job and a special crowd and subset of Auburn fans screaming "GET HIM SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGNED YOU RETARRRRRRRRD!"

I bet a lot of that crowd has forgotten that though.

I guess maybe they wanted him to go to prison and never ever be seen or heard from again or something.

Now you are getting it. Though i dont wish prison on him. I was hoping he would take his retirement and go be a fishing guide and maybe open up a spinny bait company on the side. Something easy like that.

Go look it up: In the years that Jacobs was AD at Auburn ALL sports had a cummulative losing record against SEC competition. The only reason Jacobs survived as long as he did is:

1. Auburn fans only really care about football. If football does well or at least good, not a lot of bitching.

2. He raised money well.

It wasnt until we started getting multiple scandal activities and the girls softball thing that the shite really hit the fan. I never thought he was a great AD.

Though you know I love you long time, you are kinda picking the bad things out, like most have, and not talked about the good.

Its cool though. Jay is gone and thats what most here wanted. Though a lot of his work is paying off for us still. And, the new guy can build his own case.

Jay took a lot of heat here for things that were out of his control while Bruce Pearl and it appears the new AD gets free passes. It is very ironic and extremely funny to sit back and watch.

But flame on and love the new sig line.

When Auburn wins in baseball, I am giving all the credit to our new AD. Jay was a good guy, but has bad Karma. A. Greene has a positive force field and strong positive Karma. It has showed in the SEC Basketball championship and hopefully CWS appearance.

When the football team does great, I am giving him all the credit.

So I need a ruling. Do we now blame the new AD for us falling short in making the WS now or is that Jacobs fault?

Im just trying to figure out the rules that you set.

But I already know the answer.

General rules

If the outcome is bad, it is Jay Jacob's bad juju and mismanagement that caused it

If the outcome is good, it is all Greene's doing.

You don't know this but our 2010 national championship was actually the good vibes Greene sent off in anticipation of being our AD
