Had TCU in the CWS 4 of the last 5 years but didn’t make the tournament this year.

You stupid frick. He had taken TCU to the CWS 4 straight years prior to this. He also is the highest paid coach at 1.5M in all of college baseball. He's getting a raise and is coaching in the best stadium in the best conference at a powerhouse. Enjoy.

What’s funny is he and his wife are best friends with Bianco and his wife.

So when he shows up and is complimentary of our program the MSU alums will bitch about it.

They want someone to spew vitriol about OM every chance they get but he isn’t that kinda person.

LSU’s step child has been needing an injection of class for quite some time. The program will get that with Schloss.

He had a rebuilding year in which he got his team to the Big 12 Championship game. As far as State vs. Auburn baseball, we had a shite year for us and got a 2 seed. Auburn had one of the top seasons in school history and got a 2 seed against a tougher team.

maybe in the last 15-20 yrs, I'll give you that much.

And how do you reckon NC State is a tougher team when they're the #16 host?

Not sure why he takes this job. It’s not a knock on miss st, but he’s built tcu from scratch. They have a great setup in FW and a tremendous recruiting pipeline. I know why all the MSU guys will say it’s a no brainer but as a completely neutral opinion this doesn’t make sense to me. It’s not like Mississippi State is ever winning a NC in baseball

Maybd because TCU thinks of itself more as a football school.
I will not commit on what State thinks of itself more as.

Nah I always thought Coastal could win one, especially watching how well they were playing when they beat LSU. Ron Polk couldn’t win one when they were the only show in town. We are talking about a program with 3 World Series appearances in 20 years. They aren’t college baseball royalty and Schlossnagle has a Better gig where he is.

Dudy Noble is legit though so they do have that going for them
