Who will be the head baseball coach at Mississippi State in 2019

There’s lots of talk by our AD John Cohen that we are about to hire a proven coach with head coaching experience who has been to Omaha. There are 3 front runners who fit that criteria. Word is we are willing to pay over $1.5 million a year for the right coach.

Because we are willing to pay more and his agent has been in communication. Not saying we hire him but if he gets paid more and had better facilities and an AD to work for who is a baseball guy all can help.

Including Corbin demonstrates how unrealistic that entire list is. There is a long list of coaches with Omaha experience and OP picks off 3 of the top 4.

I heard O’Sullivan left the dugout in the 2nd last night to “go to the bathroom” but didn’t show back up until the 8th. Was reportedly seen getting in a Lexus SUV with a realtor sign on the side. Haven’t been able to confirm tho.

What’s unrealistic with this list? We are building a $55 million park and our AD is a former coach who knows all of these guys and is willing to pay top dollar, over $1.5 million to be exact to any of the 3 I listed.
All of the D1 baseball guys led by Kendall Rogers thinks we land a huge hire.

McDonnell makes the most sense.
MSU will probably start making it to Omaha more than once a decade with him at the helm.
They’ll stop finishing last in the West so often as well.
