Our AD isn’t a humongous a-hole for starters. That usually helps.

Bianco being best friends with both McDonnell and Schloss would help us out with the sell as well.

I’m sure you’ll find a decent coach to come to the Carnegie Hall of college baseball. He’s just going to have to drag his family to Starkville with a choker leash around their necks.

"Oxford is the best place evar! Everyone wants to coach here!"

You just hired Matt Luke for head football coach.

We are slowly identifying the Hall of Fame coaches who are too chicken-shite to handle the high profile job of MSU Baseball coach. There must be SOMEONE out there who doesn't mind the spotlight....

Grew up in Oxford, live in Starkville now. This is heavily overplayed but there really is not much of a difference.

Oxford is a slightly nicer town with shitter people, Starkville is a slightly worse town with nicer people.

The biggest difference is Oxford has two movie theaters to the one in Starkville. Also food is really a push. Two Brothers in Starkville is better than anywhere in Oxford since they got rid of Lamar Lounge.

Breakfast in Oxford is way better than Starkville, but Starkville has better dinner places food wise.

Frozen chicken tenders can be sold in both towns so food is a push

Gruden was contacted about the job at MSU. But he is still under contract with the VOLS. But he said he would keep them in mind.

Of the two, who would MSU take?

Interim tag off Henderson, or Holbrook?

Might be a realistic question actually

Holbrook. Only way I want Henderson is if it means Gautreau can be head coach in waiting while he learns the ropes.

As far as serious names that would come

Heffner from DBU
Bragga from Tenn Tech

they don't fit Cohen's promises but both are good coaches.

Im gonna say miss st gonna shoot for the moon and get set down withba Calvi type...a vety good coach but the uninformed fanbase will shite on the hire

Much like many SC fans did on the Kingston hire.

If South Carolina couldnt pull these guys no way in hell MSU does. MSU a great program but isnt in a hotbed for recruiting have nowhere the history of South Carolina.

quote:

Cohen was on the radio yesterday and said the interest for this job has been overwhelming and when asked if there was a money amount he had in mind, he said money was no object and that Msu would land a top coach.

quote:

Completely different situation than SC. South Carolina fired Holbrook at the end of the year. John Cohen has had his search ongoing since mid feb. when he fired Cannizaro.

No way we have to settle for someone like Calvi. If Cohen misses on his top 3, his next 3 are all his former assistants and current SEC coaches in Butch Thompson, Nick Mingione, and Brad Bohannan

And they settle for the Indiana HC....ill say it now told ya so
