Uhmmm no. Baton Rouge definitely has its faults, but with a metro of over 800k it offers things that Starkville could never hope to offer. BR is larger than any metro in Ms not to mention New Orleans is only like an hour down the road.

I would go hard after Gary Gilmore or Dan Heefner

We can and will hire a far better coach than these guys.

Go with the Louisville coach if it must be one of these 3. CORBIN is a huge a-hole

Probably larger than the top three metros in miss. That state is desolate. I dont know how they are competitive with any recruits unless they just hate city life.

This is incorrect.

Baton Rouge offers things Starkville would never hope to offer. FIFY

While this is true, the only difference (culture aside) between Baton Rouge and Jackson is that one has a large SEC school and the other does not. If not for LSU, Baton Rouge would be in as much of a state of urban decay as Jackson. Even still, both towns are similar as is.

We would have loved to keep Jackie but he was too hot and dirty. He probably would have brought A&M a national title or got us the death penalty. Maybe both.

Look, I do want Schloss or McDonnell, but let's be entirely honest... Heef or Gilly would both be phenomenal hires as well. Heefner is a top 5 hitting coach in the college game and has transformed DBU into a yearly contender. And Gilly is simply one of the best in the game at finding and developing talent. There's a reason he's won so consistently since '96.

All the things you mention here are precisely why Starkville >>>>>>>>Baton Rouge.

Schlossnagle isn’t leaving TCU/Ft. Worth for Mississippi.
I promise.
And that is said with zero malice

Going to get an early start on this one

Starkville and $1.5 million must be better than Ft. Worth after all

If y'all stole Louisville's guy, well that'd just be perfect.
