I mean, if he's getting waived this early now then its not like another college season is going to turn him into a high draft pick or something.

Is that like getting fired on your day off? Have they even started practices yet?

They just had rookie only mini-camp and that's it.

I’m pretty sure entering the draft was his only option

How'd you get fired on your day off Craig?

I hate it for him and sorry for laughing, but he basically took all last year off and gets waived. How does someone not be physically and mentally prepared to play if the NFL after a "full" year off?

Because they were lazy and got out of shape instead of working out.

amazing how effective he was when he was playing well. Hard to believe if things went right, he could not have built on that.

Hate it that things worked out the way it did. Dude could have been a beast this year.

Heck, he could have been a beast LAST year too.

Dude was practically unstoppable before he pulled a hammy against Vandy in '16. I'm convinced we would have beaten UGa that year, even with a noodle-armed Sean White at QB. And I'm pretty sure a healthy, focused Pettway would have positively impacted all four of our losses in '17. Imagine the mid-2016 version of Pettway starting the SECCG instead of a clearly injured KJ...

Sucks for the kid, but it doesn't sound like he did himself any favors. He should be able to find work in Europe if he gets his shite together.

Yep. That Arkansas game last year was a thing of beauty. KJ ripping them in the 1st half. Then here comes Pettway in the 2nd half. Totally ran right through them.

Laziness, or he actually has an injury that he still deals with

I know. It was rhetorical.

Getting cut so early, is a good thing for KP. He now can try with another team, and have a shot.

No one knows if he kept in shape.

His issue is his size. He's big, but not fast or quick. He is one dimensional, and he's only going to make a roster as a FB, as that is what they listed him in Minnesota.

Not too many needs for FBs in NFL these days. They use other OL or TEs in short yardage situations.

He graduated yesterday. So, perhaps the judgments are a bit too critical.
