Not really, in fact their situation was even crazier, they already won it all... they did it all and came back again.

We either have trolls or some negative arse people in our fanbase. Downvotes are probably from people who think "Alabama will be better without sexton" lol.

Just speculating and thinking out loud here but could it be that Collin and his manager have looked at who's coming out at guard this year compared to next and are weighing the possibility that he's a 6-8 pick this year but a 1-5 pick next year? I know it's probably not enough to matter, but there does seem to be a lot of guards coming out this year. I have no idea about next year as I don't follow college basketball as a whole that intently. I know the Tide really well, the SEC fairly well, and the blue bloods somewhat. Beyond that, I'm just another ignorant fan.

Being drafted a few slots higher could figure into it...It's a big man and post heavy draft this year, those are the guys projected to go before Collin. Collin will most likely be fine guard taken...Next year it might be case of him being one of the top 3-4 prospects period.

I would just describe him as a relatively mature teenager. The kid works hard and has already developed the kind of self-discipline most of us don't find until we are 5-10 years older than he is, if we ever do. Whether that has anything to do with social media, or lack thereof, I can't really say. I think an 18-19 year old with that kind of drive and focus is a rare thing no matter what generation he/she is a part of though. I have little doubt he will find success in whatever path life leads him down. His parents obviously did a good job raising him.
Couldn't agree more. I've been impressed since that interview he did over Skype or whatever app he used.

Both Miles Bridges and Robert Williams were lottery picks last year and came back so I'm not sure why people are completely dismissing the idea. He is taking an unusual amount after his last game to declare if he's not seriously considering returning. I'm not getting my hopes up, but it's not like this is the day after the game either. It's worth pondering.

Yeah unreal that people act like sure fire lottery picks haven't stayed for another year. Really won't be surprised at whatever he decides at this point.

I'll be pretty surprised if he returns, but it's not like it's impossible.

It’s been over a week and Collin hasn’t declared. Then his brother and manager hinted about a potential comeback (mainly his brother did). Idk what’s going on in his mind. I would love for him to come back.....but I would also hate for him to take that chance when he’s already a lottery pick

The thing is... he probably won't declare for NBA just yet.. I expect him to be gone. If he goes next year, he is likely #1-3 pick. But I fully expect him to be gone... I think he's waiting til after Championship game.

#1-3? That's ambitious with that crazy class coming next year. I love Collin but he's projected somewhere from 5-12 everywhere I've seen. I think he can get it up maybe to 4 but I'm not sure what else he can do unless he just goes bonkers all season.

I don’t think next year’s class is supposed to be as strong as this one. He could get top 3 I think. You also have to remember he missed like 4 games this year due to injuries and a suspension. If he comes back next year and doesn’t miss any games, he’ll put up possibly even better numbers and that’ll help him even more

I was just thinking mainly of that Duke class coming in. So maybe it isn't as strong overall lol

RJ Barrett will go #1 in next year's draft but I could see Collin going in the top 3. I also don't see why the NCAA championship game would have anything to do with when he announced. Seems to me he's clearly debating

MPJ just declared today. He took this long and finally went to the draft. They’re claiming he really wanted to come back but he knew the smart route was to go to the NBA. I think Collin is feeling that same way. He probably thinks there’s unfinsihed business at Alabama but in the end he’ll do the smart thing and go to the NBA

When is the deadline to declare?
Is Collin still taking classes?

Well, technically, as long as he doesn't hire an agent, couldn't he do what Key did and test the waters then declare for the draft or come back next year depending on his draft grade? Not saying this will happen, just saying he could do it that way.

I watched Barrett and gotta say he doesn't strike me as a #1 overall pick. Reminds me of Harrison Barnes
