I'd just like to put that 1% chance to bed.

Yea, I wouldn't call it dumb. Maybe he just wants to improve his game and enjoy college.

He can improve his game between the time from off-season and summer to the start of NBA season... For a top 10 pick, like Collin yes it would be dumb to come back. There's little margin to increase stock but a lot to fall, or even have an unfortunate career ending injury.

Honestly him coming back could hurt Avery in the long run. If he were to get hurt or not improve his draft stock would fall and it would be hard to shake that on the recruiting trail. It's the reason coach Saban tells guy she to go pro if they get a 1st round grade by the draft evaluation

He definitely should go pro.

But then there’s also a chance he may be thinking that he can possibly go top 3 next year in a weaker draft class. Could make millions more. That’s a huge risk tho and I’d definitely take what’s guaranteed and be a top ten pick this year.

Not gonna happen. The NBA is likely about to cancel the 1 year out of high school rule. There will be even more talent in the next draft

Maybe Collin believes in this program enough to stay another ye. Highly doubtful the new draft rules will be passed before next draft anyway.

It's one of the biggest reasons but there are others

For a RD1 guy who returns, there are a ton of vultures out there from agents to family to fans that can create eligibility problems.

They also were 3 guys who were recruited together, developed together and had a very close knit bond even by typical teammate standard

I honestly don't know, is Sexton that close with people on the team?

No part of me truly believes that Sexton is even debating this. If he has a first round grade, then it would be crazy to stay. As much as he throws his body around, it would be too much of a risk. I'd feel like shite if he came back and got seriously injured.

I know his education is important but he can afford to pay his own way eventually

Ya, it is nuts that this is even up for discussion

Most schools let their student athletes return free of charge. Alternatively, lot of contracts can get education benefits thrown in too

He can just take some online classes on the chartered NBA jet WiFi and finish up his classes that way if it is that important

If he is truly a first round lock, then he needs to go and get his money. The "risk to reward" by coming back isn't even close.

Hell, I would have declared before I walked off the court in his last game

yea I didn't understand the backlash the arizona player got for talking about leaving in the post game after their tourney loss.

Season is over. What does it matter?

All of these arguments are valid...Again he's a different kid from the typical millennial, clearly there is some debate going on because I don't think his brother would be Twitter trolling. He's a top 10 lock but maybe there's some element of unfinished business in his mind.
