His manager is liking tweets about Collin coming back as well
Wouldnt read too much into this. This is to be expected, to appreciate the support/love from fans
quote:
Again he's a different kid from the typical millennial,
Not sure what being a millennial has to do with this. Kids have been foregoing college eligibility for decades
quote:
clearly there is some debate going on because I don't think his brother would be Twitter trolling
To not keep options open and declare now isn't responsible. He should retain eligibility until he gets grades back and assurances from NBA teams about draft stock
Kids who don't do that are doing themselves a disservice
quote:
He's a top 10 lock but maybe there's some element of unfinished business in his mind.
Which would be what? The team is setup to make a run in '19-20, not as much next year
You'd be taking about losing minimum 1-2 years salary at a minimum of ~4-$8mil but the real damage is pushing back eligibility for veteran contracts
If Sexton has a Max contract career, he is really losing about $15-30mil in lifetime earnings by returning 1-2 years

Yeah I know. Just throwing that out there. He usually interacts with fans a lot so that’s all it is I’m sure.
But the little hint his brother threw out the other day and then his managers random tweet yesterday are seemingly hints about Collin.

Ya, it is nuts that this is even up for discussion

He's a different kid in the sense he doesn't do social media at all, has a 4.0 , and has often talked about charting his own path. Today's millennials are glued to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. Hes probably the only kid in college basketball who doesn't do social media. If he came back they could take a leap next year , it's not a big stretch to say so .

His manager? what are you talking about.
Damien Harris says Hi. Every once in a while there is a kid that just likes college life, and his parents don't need the money and don't pressure the kid to go pro. Many a person has said that college was the best 4 (or 5) years of their life. And there are probably a few, not many parents that do not want their 18 year old kid in the life style, and around some of the people they will be with. All that is pretty rare, but it happens. Those Florida kids are a good example of having parents that didn't need money and didn't probably told their kids to just do what they wanted to do. If Sexton makes it in the nba, he will make far more money than he will ever need.

Yep his family isn't a pack of leeches... Brother and sister are college educated and make their own money and his parents are rock solid , put good values into those children from everything I see. None of them view Collin as a meal ticket nor need him to be.

You keep using millennial with a derogatory connotation, but Sexton is barely even considered a part of that generation. It's not just a euphemism for "stupid young person who has interests I don't understand". It's an actual term used to describe a generation of people born during a certain time frame, which is typically the 80s and 90s. I'm in my 30s and would be considered a millennial.

Who the frick downvotes a post that's complimentary of a kid's family lol?

Not directed at u Santa, and i get what you're saying. I should have said he's not typical of today's 18-25 age group.

Collin is gone, bro. No matter how untypical you believe he is.

Lol OK...That's just trolling at this point
Posted on 3/25/18 at 9:50 am to Bamainva40
Not saying he isn't gone, if I were him I'd go too...But clearly there's some back and forth going on.
Posted on 3/25/18 at 9:51 am to Bamainva40
Man, if Collin does come back the Final 4 is realistic next year if everyone improves like they should and we play well. No longer a pipe dream.

I would just describe him as a relatively mature teenager. The kid works hard and has already developed the kind of self-discipline most of us don't find until we are 5-10 years older than he is, if we ever do. Whether that has anything to do with social media, or lack thereof, I can't really say. I think an 18-19 year old with that kind of drive and focus is a rare thing no matter what generation he/she is a part of though. I have little doubt he will find success in whatever path life leads him down. His parents obviously did a good job raising him.

He's projected anywhere from 6-8 overall so I definitely would go if I were him...But it's his life and he's gonna be successful whether he goes now or a year from now. Don't think he really needs feedback or a grade at this point, the scouts have known about him for over 2 years now. If he stays I'm trusting he has solid reasons .

Ok. Yeah he seems more level headed and reasonable, aka mature for his age.. And he probably is weighing his options, but at this point one item, being an, NBA star, is weighing much heavier than anything else at this moment

There's so many variables that could happen if he would return, that I don't know how you could really believe that.
