For the people who say Gus is being out recruited, just think where this class is if we werent throwing shite on our program internally with our bogus woe is me shite. Gus locks Putnam and Cain in this class. He also adds another OL or two.

You think that Putnam picked Clemson, one of the most consistently dominant programs in the country over recent years, over our bipolar clown-show of extreme inconsistency because of what "we" portray the program as?

No, your theory is both really stupid and completely wrong.

I’d love to pin a recruiting loss on our overly emotional fan base but I think you’re right. I’m sure Gus’s future at Auburn played a role but I think the stability he referenced was the program as a whole.

So now, it’s the realists on this site — who won’t settle for mediocrity — that are the problem with this program? Like I posted somewhere else the other day: I’m back on the Gus Bus until I’m not. I don’t want us to lose this recruiting cycle, and I don’t want to lose games next year. But our record for the past six years is squarely on Gustav’s shoulders. Period.

Gus showed signs of taking extreme ownership in the bowl game. That’s very encouraging. But if he doesn’t continue this, he will fail.

When you play in a tense, high stakes industry with lots of competition, you lose without extreme ownership. He better make sure his show is tight.

Most of those "realists" are far from reality

You make your own reality. Ask Marcus Aurelius, Theodore Roosevelt, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Mother Teresa, and Nick Saban.

Read the Stoics. When you realize this, things will change. Not joking.

One of the insiders on AUFamily chimed in on Derrick's little bro. Staff apparently sees a stud blocking back in the making in him. Watching his film, that may very well be true.

2*, but who’s counting?

TBH, 3* is probably the ceiling for classic blocking backs these days. The game has moved on.

Meh. Hang yourself, and you‘ll regret it; don’t hang yourself, and you‘ll regret it

Missed this the other day but Wolk says that 3* DB Jammie Robinson will OV this weekend as well. Really good athlete that could play anywhere in the secondary. Been thought to be a UK/SCAR battle for much of his recruitment

Sarcasm aside KN confirmed this evening AU recruiting him as an ATH. Could end up at FB

This makes sense.

AU has offered quite a few overlooked, big thumping LBs to convert into HBacks under Gus
