Auburn is looking at Ja’DarRien Boykin at LB
He’s a 4*, listed as a 6-2 235 DE. Miami just offered yesterday but otherwise is best offers are Georgia’s Tech, ASU, and UVA

KN also says Auburn is evaluating Tye Edwards as an option at LB. Auburn has previously talked to him about playing RB which is his preference.
Edwards is 6-3, 212 and listed as a 3* OLB. KN mentioned that grades could be an issue

Last bit of LB news, KN posted an interview with Octavious Brothers. Brothers has a top 4 but he said Auburn and Miami has seperated from the other two. Says Auburn has been recruiting him since the middle of last year

Strange for a 4* to have such few offers. Maybe Grades are an issue? He seems to have a pretty quick first step and uses his hands well in his tape.

No idea about grades but it sounds like he has a committable offer from Georgia Tech 
They’re not big on sending out a lot of offers so I’d assume he isn’t a grade risk.
Update to my previous post: he received offers from Maryland and Louisville yesterday aswell.

KN thinks it's because he's a tweener. Teams aren't sure if he will play DE or LB

He’s got the defensive tools to play CF with plus power. He may fall out of the top 10 but he’s going to get a nice over slot bonus with his football commitment.
I think he commits to a baseball forward school in the event he slides in the draft or a MLB team doesn’t match his demands. But it’s probably all just a formality

One of the insiders on AUFamily chimed in on Derrick's little bro. Staff apparently sees a stud blocking back in the making in him. Watching his film, that may very well be true.

We've wasted worse scholarships before.
Plus were usually short of the 85 limit and give to walk-ons.
