Alabama is already almost one-third of the way to the win total from 2017. Screw Greg Goff.

I said that yesterday. It really speaks to just how incredibly awful he was, because it's not like this is a fundamentally different roster or anything. I'd imagine that just having players who aren't miserable has made a huge difference.

Has anyone watched or listened to a game yet? I've only been able to follow it on social media because of work. How does the team actually look? Is our fielding pretty good?

Watched parts of games on the ESPN app. Team looks good IMO. Biggest difference I see is an improved approach at the plate. I have not watched any full games and have mostly just caught bits and pieces.
Hard to see a lot against the competition so far, but I like what is happening.

We're much better. The fielding is good. Vance makes some great plays at 3rd. The biggest difference is in batting though. We've done a great job of getting walks, and I think 7 of our 9 starters from last night are batting over .300.
Holcombe has like a .700 OBP

I watched part of last Friday, most of Sunday and all of last night. Agree with Bammer. Hard to make many assessments because competition isn't great, but quite frankly winning 6 of 6 against bad teams is a massive improvement from last year.
Approach at the plate looks good, guys are throwing strikes and all around just seem to have a plan and confidently attempting to execute it.
Fun to watch so far. We look like a competent major college baseball team, which shouldn't be a big deal but is.

That's insane. Obviously that will probably drop as we play stiffer competition, but that's good that he has a good eye AB.
I haven't seen the stats yet, but Taylor has above a .400 batting average right now. He had 5 RBI's yesterday.

What is Holcombe's plan when spring ball starts?
We're at the point where he has some serious (and hard) decisions to make.

he played little on the FB team when all the healthy bodies returned except for ST's. His future will be in BB if he has a future in anything at the professional level.

Eh, he's basically a full time backup at LB and one of our best special teams players. He's also a leader on the team at this point.
I agree in terms of possible future that baseball would be it, probably, but I don't think things have changed a ton from last year and he picked football.

Keith Holcombe was 4 for 4 today.
He has to be hitting close to .700 so far this season.
