Malkin swinging and missing this much against Valpo and Wazzu has me wondering how much of a liability he will be in the lineup come SEC play.
I have to seriously question running right there when the guy at the plate is whiffing that much. That's 7 strikeouts in 12 plate appearances by my count.

Walters looks great. He's got fantastic jump on his fastball variations.

Scored three in the bottom of the 5th, up 6-2.
Walters just finished another solid inning. Probably done now with his pitch count sitting at about 95 through 6 IP. Medders was warming up in the bullpen last half.
