Thumbs up = Yes
Thumbs down = No

Feel free to discuss, but just want an idea of where y'all stand.

I'm the first No vote. I hate those frickers, and wanted the rivalry to stay when we moved. But I just want to hit one of them when they start their arrogant, "holier than thou", bullshite.

I want this to be a thread where we can discuss this as family, with everyone's opinion valid.

As things stand now, the answer is no.

As the college football landscape changes (# of conference games, conference sizes, the value put on SOS vs winning, etc) I would expect to change my answer.

I never wanted to stop the game and loathe that we missed out on half a decade of beating their arse while rubbing in how great the move to the SEC is.

No because any renewal in the near term will be ultimately on their terms.

If it's renewed, it needs to be on our terms after we've won an SEC West, SEC, and National title.

If our decision makers can't negotiate a fricking contract correctly with a coach what makes you think they can negotiate with burnt orange terrorists?

I'm fine with it. If renewed it will be a bit nastier and that's okay as well.

Nope. Love the game, but we have nothing to gain from it right now.

NO. Let them stew in the disaster of their own making. Shortsighted blowhards. F them. I don't want to do anything that improves their crappy home schedule.

Playing a natural rival isn't a gain?

It is to me, but the program has nothing to gain. I would rather just sit back and watch them flame out on their own. We have Clemson, Colorado, Miami, and Notre Dame coming over the next few years. Their premiere OOC game this year was Maryland. If we win, it will be spun that they are "young" and we should have won. If we lose then it will be spun that the wheels are falling off and hurt recruiting.

Like I said, I love the game, and love that its at worst a 2.5 hour drive away, but playing would help their program a lot more than ours. We tried to keep the rivalry alive, and they took their ball and went home. Now were supposed to stop everything were doing because they need the game now? Frick em.

Nope. Never get back into bed with business partners who have proven themselves to be snakes time and again.

We gave them a shot to keep the series going OOC when we first left. They wanted to act like arrogant bitches because we wouldn't do their bidding with regard to the conference move.

So frick them. If we play them in a bowl game or something, whatever. But permanently on our schedule? They lost that privilege.

Yes.

I don't care about all the rustled feelings on both sides or even which program stands to gain what. The state of Texas should have this game.

Which is why I want to play them again and hit them where it hurts. The Loss column. Now isn't the time. But in 5-10 years, I want it to be back.
