please tell me more...

I mean I know why certain Bama fans don't like him.. I mean they hated Blake Sims all the way to obliterating the Bama QB record books...

You other losers have seen Hurts break Bama's TDs responsible for record against YOUR teams in a season and a half... what gives?

I don’t think Hurts is a bad QB. He’s efficient and runs that offense well. He’s just not really a guy who’s going to scare you. On your list of “guys we can’t let beat us” he’s probably 4th or 5th on that list.

Wow are you using race as the reasoning for Bama fans not liking him?
Way to eat your own man. My issue with Hurts is hes not as good as some Bamers act. Is he awful? No. But having a good team helps him alot. at a different school he would suck and you know it

He's not bad, but if you put him on any other team would his name be mentioned as much?

I know he will not beat us. He relies on everyone around him and doesnt do anything to take away from them. I just laugh when people bring his name up for the Heisman because if you put him on LSU he may not start over Etling. However Tua scares the shite out of me because he is on another level.

He's virtual tied with Etling in every statistical category.

Hurts is not a bad QB - but he is very average. He is effective at being a game manager. Ask yourself this - how many other teams in this conference would Hurts start for? Maybe half?

He's college Mike Vick X 10.

I'm not saying he's a bad quarterback and he can certainly hurt you with his legs , but he absolutely cannot throw the ball down field and that is statistically verifiable

Shut up. Some people just want their "dual threat" QB's to have two threats. Hurts isn't bad. He's a great runner and a mediocre passer. Some of our fans just can't be honest with themselves because they want a superstar QB to cheer for so they tell themselves Hurts is it.

So folks are against him because he's a minority, while they call to bring in a guy who's a minority?

Sorry, that's not it.

It's because we have a highly touted 5 star QB on the roster. It's unfair, but Bama fans demand perfection. I've seen them pick apart Hurts all season, he'll probably go down as the most under appreciated QB in the Saban era. As talented as Tua is, he's still a true freshman and we don't know how he will respond to adversity when the game is on the line. Jalen deserves the start, he's managed the offense pretty well and has all of the intangibles. But next year I think Tua wins the starting job. This offense may be suited better for him.

He isn't a great QB but Bama doesn't need a great QB. You outclass everyone else enough to get by with a solid QB who isn't risky. Thing is, I think Hurts could be really really good. But I don't expect him to get the development he needs at Bama, simply because you don't need him to be that QB.

He's far better than Sims. Sims literally looked at one predetermined WR and sometimes had a dump off man underneath.

I think people just say he's a bad passer, not a bad QB.

Kid is a great runner and is a truck. And most importantly he just keeps winning.

I don't think people thought Tommie Frazier was a bad QB (extreme example, I know).

He is a modern day game manage. Doesn’t turn the ball over. Good leader. Extends plays with his legs. Some Bama fans are worried someone will make him pass. The later in the season it happens, the larger the barrier for making the playoffs. It is a legit concern.

He's not a bad QB, but not a really good one either. you don't need that when everyone else on your roster is talented.

I'll tell you more. He is one of the few Bama players that wont even be a thought in the mind of NFL scouts to be drafted at the position he plays......

He is a good college football player, he is not a good Qb. There is nothing wrong with that and that shouldnt offend you

False. Anybody with half a brain knows that Blake Sims is the second best Alabama QB over the last 20 years. He could be inconsistent and had his fair share of limitations but he was a much better QB than Hurts, Coker, McElroy, Wilson, etc..
