You're all wrong. He's running up the score so he can show the Texas boosters he's ready for a 50 million a year salary to coach the Longhorns.

I agree with your overall point - there is not much legitimate evidence to demonstrate that Bama is as dominant as they are looking. So far, Bama hasn't faced a team that can match up with the OL and DL - that was Florida State's weakest link. But to say FSU looks weak is so disingenuous without at least acknowledging that they played almost the entire game against Bama with their star QB, and they are a different team without him. It's particularly relevant, not only because you take out their most potent offensive weapon, but also because his mobility and elusiveness helped cover up the glaring inadequacy of their OL. By the way, the write up in the ESPN power rankings did the same thing, and I bristled. The biggest sports media experts in the world, and they write that as if they go shopping every Saturday and check the box scores before they write their "analysis".

This is a tangent, but I think the great OOC starting games are good for publicity and all...
But I have to wonder how much longer big teams will want to do it. I mean, you win your conference and play cupcakes --like Washington did--- and you can still make it.
You play a national contender right out of the gate and you lose your star qb. I am sure FL state fans feel this way now. And Alabama took some big losses as well.
I think last year people used Ohio State as the example of OOC strength of schedule, but honestly, Ohio State will always get a bump because of their name.
FSU looks bad now, but you have to wonder how it could have been for them if they had started out playing BYU.

He wants to leave Alabama with a bang before heading back to Baton Rouge to right the ship.

Why Alabama is beating everyone so badly.
They beat Vandy so badly because they weren't getting that much respect.
They beat Ole Miss because A) Ole Miss is horrible this year on defense and couldn't keep a high school team from scoring, much less Alabama and B) They wanted to embarrass them for being the last team to beat them in Bryant Denny Stadium and having to cheat to do it.
Is there anybody until Auburn that can legitimately keep them under 50?

Basically everybody is just sucking so bad in hopes that Saban will get bored without real competition and move on to somewhere else.

The difference is that Alabama has put in the time and dollars to get a large share of 5 star prospects and they operate a program that would make pro teams blush

Let's get to the real issue - I'm sorry you hired Orgeron, we're here for you, and we can help you direct your disappointment to the culprits rather than acting out on the message boards.

luck. If you bet 100 bucks let it ride and double your money each time 17 times in a row you end up with around 13 million dollars. Some people have the magic touch. Some people have been struck by lightning multiple times in their life. Alabama is holding a lightning rod in a thunderstorm. Odds are in their favor.

They were #3 because of the Kool-aid drinking press. They should be 0 for September right now. They suck.

I don't know why but I'm damn sure enjoying watching it. I remember how good my golf game got on Saturdays during the Dubose and Shula years. I probably would have made the PGA tour had Mike Price had of not gotten drunk in Pensacola.
