He's only worked at Bama for a year, before that he worked for compliance at the NCAA.

This most likely has something to do with his time at the NCAA and not Bama and him being privy (or complicit) to what was going on at other schools and not doing anything about it. Remember, this caught the NCAA off guard yesterday too.

He probably went to Greg Byrne and told him what he knew and turned in his resignation.

It doesn't matter honestly. The way Will Wade has it rolling at LSU, we should win the west for years to come and challenge kentucky and florida for the sec title. LSU is going to be that good. It's been a while since we made a final four, I think like 10 years, but will wade will bring us there again in time. He's going to build a scary program here in br and is already well on his way. LSU has a good basketball history but I think will wade can surpass that. We are going to be a force, bookmark it now, watch and see, bc it's coming. Geaux tigers.

The report that revealed nothing substantive to the University's compliance. However, it will be interesting to hear what Baker did.

"Wednesday night, Alabama accepted the resignation of men’s basketball administrator Kobie Baker after an internal review. Baker’s previous job: assistant director of enforcement at the NCAA.

Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne issued the following statement on the matter: “Following yesterday’s reports from New York regarding a Federal investigation of intercollegiate athletics, The University of Alabama Department of Athletics immediately initiated an internal review of our men’s basketball operations. As a result, we have accepted the resignation effective today of Kobie Baker, a men’s basketball administrator. Our review has not identified any NCAA or SEC rules violations nor the involvement of any other coach or staff member. We have notified both of the governing bodies of the actions we have taken. As always, we will continue to be proactive in our compliance efforts.”

Aau ball will be the downfall of college basketball. It was a joke and corrupt from the start. It, hopefully, will be the end of one and dones and just let those kids in the league

They could shutdown our basketball program for a decade and it wouldn't bother me. So long as this thing doesn't touch football I am fine with whatever the FBI comes up with.
