Before i reveal my ranking, I just want you all to know that I've researched every damn teams returning stars, new comers, recruiting rankings, coach success, etc.

No fricking shite... Arkansas will fricking win the SEC. Guard play and their recruiting class will do it. They in all honestly beat UNC last year.

1.Arky
2.UF
3.Alabama
4.Carolina
5.UK
6.Auburn
7.aTm
8.Mizzou
9.MSU
10.Tennessee
11.Vandy
12.Ole Miss
13.UGA
14.LSU

The SEC is stacked. Look at the ranking and coaches in our conference. At least seven teams will make the tourney. Possibly nine.

And before you laugh at me for having Kentucky that low. Do some research. They will have their youngest ever team and without any difference makers on the squad. It could look like their NIT team under Caipari, like a few years ago tbh.

I still think you're underestimating UK and vastly overrating Bama.

Also I feel like Wade will keep us from finishing dead last - Swap LSU and UGA

Arkansas, Florida, Alabama, and Kentucky are the only 4 teams in the SEC that have the talent to compete with us.

The rest of you

UK
Arkansas
Florida
Bama
Vandy
A&M
Carolina
MSU
Tennessee
Mizzou
Auburn
Ole Miss
UGA
LSU

This is obviously not based strictly on talent. The top 3 were pretty easy and LSU 14 was easy as well. Bama is probably a cut above 5-13 to me but those teams are all very close with different flaws. Some being coaching, some being youth. A&M, Mizzou and Auburn have the highest ceiling from this group but A&M has Billy Kennedy, Auburn cannot seem to get it together even with a lot of recruiting ranking talent (horrible staff outside of Bruce imo) and Mizzou has a lot of 2016 LSU in them plus Cuonzo, though Cuonzo's teams are usually recovered from their terrible non conference showings in time to put up a respectable showing in league play so I probably have them 3-4 spots too low. Ole Miss will probably finish 6th-8th at worst like usual too so I don't know.

Ole Miss will finish ranked between 3-7 in the league.

I don't know about the rest of you football schools, but I expect Bama (basketball school) to take a nice step forward this year. We have a great mix of experience and new talent.

Ole Miss returns a ton and has some good transfers. No way 12th. Go back and research more.

A group of teams are expected to take a step forward this year (Ala, Aub, TAM, Miz, MSU). Doubt all of them can, at the end of the season coaches will start getting on the hot seat. Could be the SEC's strongest year from top to bottom.

Dont really see a glaringly bad team in this conference this year like usual. LSU should be improved as should Mizzou. I think last place will be around a 5-13 type team instead of the usual 2-16 or 3-15. Definitely could be LSU and I have no issue putting us last for now with by far the most questions seemingly with a new coach and poached roster. I'd be shocked if we did finish dead last though, Wade is one of the better coaches in this league and that's saying something now vs. years ago, he's really gone ahead and got things moving right away vs. being content in year 1 with some of the shite JJ left him. He has purged the 4 worst players off the team from last season (ER III, Hayward, Jenkins, Patterson) and added a lot of good talent so far, and may even have a late surprise in Randy Onwuasor or even Mitchell Robinson.

To me I'd say the Top 5 seem to be UK, UF, aTm, Arky and Bama. I'd put UF and UK 1/2 as they seemingly just get it done vs. everyone else in this conference, benefit of the doubt, despite both having major questions coming into this year themselves.

Arky aTm and Bama all have their questions, but return some serious strengths among them, which separates them from the next group IMO. Arky has a dominant guard group, but a potential issue in the front court. aTm is the opposite with a dominant front court, but potential back court issue. Bama just has lots of talent and some with experience now, and really no excuse to not make a big leap this year, it's up to Avery to get it together.

I'd put the rest of the teams behind those Top 5. LSU last, and it's a tough call for the rest from 6-13 honestly between USC, Vandy, Auburn, MSU, Mizzou, Ole Miss, Tennessee and UGA.

Really wide open type of year.

Crazy to think 5 years ago this LSU team would have probably won the SEC West. Now the conference is so loaded that I'm just not sure who LSU can finish ahead of. However I do know that LSU is going to play spoiler more than a few times if we're in fact the 14th best team in the conference. It's just not LSU's time yet

If/When Jontay Porter reclassifies, it is hard to see Mizzou finishing below 6th. Everyone will claim this will be an LSU/Ben Simmons situation, but I doubt it. I believe Mizzou will be in the top 25 and NCAA Tourney by season end, and could possibly be the biggest turnaround in NCAA Basketball history. Mizzou does have the 8th best odds per Vegas to win the whole thing, 2nd best in the league to Kentucky.

the conference is as strong as i have seen it in a long time, and i look forward to the season...bruce and johnson have finally brought life back to basketball in the state of alabama, and both are going to be in the hunt for. not only an ncaa bid, but the conference championship....wait and see...if the updykes can get better on the offensive end, look out, because they play good defense....if AU can get better on the defensive end, look out, because they can score....there is going to be some serious basketball played in the SEC this year, and look out for moo state

Op you have woefully underrated both UK and the Aggies.

I am not a Bill Kennedy fan but the Aggies will be hell for stout next season.

I have no idea about the relative talent of teams but I like LSU's new coach first impressions and what he's done so far in his career. If we are last or second to last we really must have zero talent coming back.
