The Alabama-Florida State game in Atlanta could be another "Game of the Century"

USA Today and at least one other publication have Alabama and Florida State ranked inside their Top 2 in their early 2017 pre-season polls. If things fall into place, you could see the polls have them ranked #1 and #2 going into the first game of the college football season in Atlanta.
That would be a huge marketing gimmick for the new stadium in Atlanta. The first regular season game to ever be played there featuring the top two college football teams in the land.
At the very least it's going to be a Top 5 match-up which has never happened in the Chick-Fil-a Kickoff Game.

They'll be too busy advertising the weekends biggest game, Georgia Tech vs Tennessee, IMHO.

Agreed, the "game of the century" should only be used a few times each century.

bama loses that game and it is 0-2 in 2017. With a 2 game losing streak to the.............ACC.

Well it only happened 10 times in 100 years in the 20th Century and it's only happened twice this century (an average of just one game every decade), so it really depends on what your definition of "a few" is.

This a great first game for both schools, even the loser. Always best to lose early if you're gonna lose, and the fact that you lose to a top two team and you're in the top two, then not much of a poll drop, would probably remain top 5. Lose and game still looks good on resume come November. A win, win for both teams.
Hate to say it but Bama may well be vulnerable more so early, than in previous seasons, reasons being the huge loses on defense, will take a few games to get that defense back up to standard imo, talent there, just need experience.
