Why Alabama Is So Strong

Over the last couple of years, I have noticed that Alabama is just stronger than everyone else. There has to be something that they are doing differently. Everyone works out. What is Alabama's secret?
This Men's Health article gives good insight into how the S&C Coach, Scott Cochran, goes about his work. Perhaps the secret is him?

Either Alabama is just better at S&C with the talented players they have or steroids are involved. Because Bama is just bigger, faster, stronger.

Highest paid S&C staff in the country. That could have something to do with it. Also the highest rated players from high school who are generally stronger than the players around them.

Having a great S&C coach definitely helps, but it's so much easier when you're training a bunch of 5-star genetic freaks.

Retard strength is a real thing. Name another state where there are more inbred retards than Bama. You can't.

This is bullshite. Every team has big, fast strong players. Bama just has more of them. They can bring in a 2nd string that is big and strong. Many other teams have a more significant drop off past the starters.

Cochran is a pretty well-known factor. I've always said that if I could take any coach from Bama and it couldn't be Saban, I'd absolutely take Cochran. I think Bama fans were even a bit nervous when it looked like Smart might be able to lure Cochran over to UGA with him.
