You see your in-state rivals all the time, at both work and play. Sometimes it's fun, and sometimes it's downright chippy. Do you like it?
As tough as it's been to endure another 8-4 season for the Ags, it's a pleasure to remind University of Texas fans they are not in the SEC, and haven't won a meaningful game in a long time. Deep down I respect UT. It's a solid University, but I enjoy the hell out the in-state rivalry gamesmanship. Love/hate relationships are usually the most interesting kind.
Yeah ... it's ok. Pretty cool actually. The taterheads are worthy adversaries. They're sheephumpers and all, but their women are easy lays and they pretty much stick to the upper part of the state for the most part.

I like living in Louisiana being an Ole Miss fan even though we aren't "in-state rivals." It's all fun with the shite talking. I am always treated with great hospitality when tailgating for the Ole Miss game. Hell, I've gone to games and tailgated for games that Ole Miss wasn't even a part of.

Glad to be apart of the civilized fan base of the great state of SC.

I think LSU, Arkansas and Missouri had an advantage by being the only game in town.

It's mutually enjoyable among intelligent humans who enjoy the rivalry respectfully. The dumbass, hateful, douche nozzle fans on both sides are the main downside to it.
I'm a Bama Alum. I have relatives and good friends who are Auburn fans. My two sons went to smaller in-state colleges. One son and his wife are Bama fans. The other and his wife are Auburn fans. My sons and I root for the rival except in the Iron Bowl. It's never been a problem for us.

Is "like like" the same as Moon Moon?

The linebeards at Whorehopper U are a paranoid bunch. They are still whining about UK's "unfair advantage" as the flagship school in the Commonwealth. Since their promotion to P5 status, some of their collective insecurity has faded but it's still fun to listen to them on their call-in shows and read their forums. You'd think a UK mafia was trying to undermine their school and its programs.
Yeah, it's great having the Cards to hate.

It's kinda good when you win. But, you better not lose. Auburn seems to get up to play Bama but for us, too often we play not to lose. I'd like to say that trend has reversed the last few years but we'll see. The only two games that ever worry me are against LSU and the Iron Bowl.

At what point does this thread turn into the internet "Iron Bowl" clash?

Yes.
They're the inbred sheep fricking, rednecks.
We are the well civilized city folk.
They may beat us in sport, we beat them in life.

Not sure what they have to do with an in-state rival, though.

Some of my best friends are AU fans. I love it. I can't imagine how boring it would be as a sports fan to essentially share the same perspective as everyone in the state. The fact that the basketball rivalry is moving in the right direction, and now we have softball to fight over makes it even more fun.
However, it sucks like hell when your team loses.

I couldn't imagine not having Clemson as a rival. They may beat the shite out of us in football more often than not, but I love to hate them.
Not trying to diss A&M when I say this, but if we stopped playing Clemson like they stopped playing Texas id be highly upset.

Oh, a good portion of them do but moving to the SEC was just a very smart move and worth it.
