As the CFP approaches, I can't help but think what if Bama gets upset. Now, I think they're gonna win the Natty but its a thought that has popped up in my head several time. I've seen some pretty remarkable teams that haven't won the whole shabang. But here are my top 5 teams that didn't win the National Championship. And if Bama were to lose, I could easily slip them into this list.
5.) 2002 Miami
4.) 2005 USC
3.) 1983 Nebraska
2.) 2011 LSU
1.) 1994 Penn State
Honorable mentions: 04 Auburn, 00 Miami, 73 Ohio State, 73 Oklahoma, 88 Miami, 87 Florida State
Whats yalls list?

Clemson last year. Clemson Boyd's last year.

You wanted no part of a Bama rematch. Your defense was terrible.

2016 Ohio State
Since they will need even more fluff after getting annihilated in the CFP this year.

I've heard a lot of old heads say 1994 Penn State and claim it was the best offense ever in an era when the Big Ten was the best conference in the nation, but I would say my top 5 of teams I remember would be:
1. 2005 USC
2. 1998 Ohio State
3. 2002 Miami
4. 2008 USC
5. 2003 USC
1. 2005 USC
2. 1998 Ohio State
3. 2002 Miami
4. 2008 USC
5. 2003 USC

List looks solid, in my view.

1986 Miami has to be included somehow. That was Jimmy Johnson's best team.
My list:
5. 2011 LSU
4. 2005 USC
3. 1971 Oklahoma
2. 1986 Miami
1. 1983 Nebraska

2011 LSU beat 3 BCS bowl winners on the road during the regular season, went undefeated in the regular season, absolutely demolished opponents, and dominated the SEC championship. They also beat Bama, who won the title, in Tuscaloosa. nearly that entire defense has started in the NFL at one point, with several pro-bowls/all-pros.
(Bama, Oregon, WVU).

These two things don't even belong in the same language, yet he's gonna give shite to OSU? Laughable.

2007 Georgia
2012 Georgia was 5 yards from winning the title

2010 Oregon. They were a blocked field goal away from bringing down Auburn, who was in beast mode that whole season. Beat Bama @ Tuscaloosa. NEVER an easy feat.
