And what moron goes to the beach in Galveston? Someone from Georgia?

South Padre Island is where most folks go if they don't drive to the Florida Panhandle.

this was part the deal.

the SECnetwork had to have a good 11am game to sell to cable companies.

With the contract the started with the SEC network, I think every SEC game is now on TV - either network, ESPN, SEC, or FoxSouth.

Yeah, but playing at Mass isn't covered in the SEC Contract.

No worries, the American Sports Network has us covered this weekend on our local CW station.

We come up right after Temple-Charlotte and before Middle Tennessee-Louisiana Tech, unless you are in the area of the country getting Akron-Appalachian State, then you are screwed.

Even if CBS wanted Florida-Tennessee, Georgia-Ole Miss should have been the 5:00 or 8:00 game.

CBS cant just put a game on. The SEC entered into a deal with CBS but was a very tough deal to break from ABC back in the day. The SEC and ABC wanted to keep a partnership but CBS was gonna do whatever it took. CBS would get exclusive rights (first pick) but would let ABC, who had now merged with ESPN have the night game and the 11 AM game could stay and the SEC eventually bought cable network time and now have that slot.

ABC/ESPN is still the monster in broadcasting college football and I wish we still were partnered with them for their "2:30 game of the week" but whatever.

Anyway, CBS has to negotiate to get games other than the 2:30 slot. I think the deal is one or two night games per year right now and ABC/ESPN/SEC isn't going to agree to more and take away the ESPN game from the SEC When Disney is paying a nice little sum to the SEC AND they get that windfall from CBS.

Besides what others have said....
Its because it is still early in the season. Big ten teams can still play at night.

We do not believe in night games anymore. Every game is at 11 oclock. Don't ask me why....that's just what time they start at Sanford.

That's what happens when you let the North Avenue Trade School graduates run the place.

Because no one cares about that game. 2 mediocre teams playing at 11 seems perfect.

That degree and program doesn't mean jack fricking shite in TEXAS, bitch

Lol, class act. A&M better head back to the SWC, where maybe they could get some respect. Instead of being in the mighty SEC and trying to beg for relevance like you're doing. Go plow a field, Jed.

If you are referring to UGA vs Ole Miss as 2 mediocre teams that no one cares about...let me remind you to take a gander in the mirror....cause LSU vs AU is the very definition of mediocre. Thats like a retard slap fight for last place in the West.

GTF outta here with this shite. Even you don't believe it.
