But a lot of those games were in spite of his QBs, not because of them. His success is not in question; his choices in relation to that particular position often are, and by LSU fans even more than the rest of us.

Yes. Dak would havemade the difference in at least one game. Good point, but you completely neutralized it by saying that Les has a weird desire for an athletic QB. EVERY coach has that desire.

Nope, I'd say it was the defense. LSU got worse after 2011, bama didn't.
LSU really hasn't declined. Saban is just the goat. No saban, Les is the current top dog of the sec. He'd have at least one more national title and one more trip to Atlanta. Possibly more if you consider talent LSU wanted but was beat out by bama for.

Y'all are as insane as Les if you seriously think it's your defense that has been losing the Bama games for you. Your defense has played over their heads in every game since 2011 (with 2012 and 2015 being the exceptions) just to keep the contests competitive. When was the last time you scored more than 20 against us? Good grief, the last time you managed to beat us your defense held us to only 6 points, and the game still went into OT. It's your offense's inability to move the ball against us consistently that has lost the games for you.

No. Dak wouldn't have played QB if he had gone to lsu. Likely would have transferred after sophomore year after he got overlooked for somebody much worse. Dak made the right decision to go to state. If he had been utilized at lsu, sure he would have helped, but he wouldn't have been utilized, so it doesn't matter.

Dak played his best last year despite MSU having no OL and getting presure. He was forced to carry the team. We came into the season losing our best linemen and then got killed with injuries. When you have to play freshmen on the O-line in the Sec it's a disaster. We had zero running game and every defense pinned their ears back and knew what Msu was going to do.
Despite that, Prescott had his best passing season ever. That might have been a blessing because it forced him to make quick decisions and I've seen that now with Dallas.

Les has done an exceptionally poor job at utilizing the QB's he has recruited. Then again, asking a dual threat QB to become a pro style QB is moronic. It is, however, what we do. Dak was lucky to escape the QB graveyard that is LSU under Les Miles. All of this B Harris turning the page stuff is moronic as well. Let BH move and run more spread or read option and he will excel. Just my thoughts.

Yes because Alabama is just churning out NFL QBs left and right. With the exception of the last 3 years, Bama QBs have been no better than LSUs and even the last 3 years Bamas QBs have just been slightly serviceable.

Les said he looked like a fat FB when he saw him play in high school. No way he would've been what he is now if he goes to LSU.

Our offense was moving the ball at will up until the fumble. The momentum shifted, and the rest is history. If Copeland scores we either win or lose on a fluke play a la 2012.
ETA: Apparently my memory fails me. I didn't think we scored in the second half of that game, and thus assumed all 17 points came in the first. I stand corrected.
That said, the point remains valid that if JC just holds on to the damned ball we go into the half up 21-17 and momentum going into the second half.
