Vandy (will be close game)
App. St (App. St. will find a way to keep it within 21)
West Virginia(not sure Missouri knows how to score)
Miss St(South Alabama will be horrid this year)
USM(Kentucky wins a close one)
Arkansas(maybe their offense can score this many)
UMass (purely bc Florida's offensive ???)
Clemson(double digits at least)
A&M(a close one)
LSU(just a better team...double digits)
Georgia(more talent across the board)
Alabama(will wear USC down)
Ole Miss(bad matchup for FSU...similar to Houston game)

usually someone does an official ATS pickem. It's been done by a couple different posters. I can't remember who did it last year
pretty sure it was Dawgsontop34

Not being a homer but I think we win by at least 4 td's.

I don't have high hopes for Carolina this year, but there is no way I'm laying points with Vandy. Pick: South Carolina + 3

Appalachian State
Tennessee - 21.5
Butch will want to show the hype is justified. Pick: Tennessee - 21

Missouri
West Virginia - 10.5
Don't know what WVU looks like this year, but Mizzou is atrocious. Pick: West Virginia - 10.5

South Alabama
Mississippi State - 32
Mullen will give his new QB plenty of opportunities. Pick: Mississippi State - 32

Southern Miss
Kentucky - 7
USM is bad, and Kentucky may be on the rise this year. Pick: Kentucky - 7
quote:
Louisiana Tech
Arkansas - 25
Tech usually has a pretty good offense. Arkie useless against all but a plodding run-only offense. Pick: Louisiana Tech + 25
quote:
Massachusetts
Florida - 36
Good opportunity for McElwain to get his QB untracked. Pick: Florida - 36
quote:
Clemson - 7.5
Auburn
Auburn might not be as horrible as expected this year, but they'll have no answer for Clemson's explosive offense. Pick: Clemson - 7.5
quote:
UCLA
Texas AM - 2
Both teams will surprise on defense, but UCLA will have the better offense. Pick: UCLA + 2
quote:
* LSU - 9.5
Wisconsin
With the exception of Miss. St. in 2007 and Oregon in 2011, these openers away from home against P5 opponents are always uncomfortably close for LSU. In the years of those exceptions, we were a national championship caliber team. This year, we're not. Pick: Wisconsin + 9.5

* North Carolina
Georgia - 3
UNC was pretty good last year, but started badly in a loss to S. Carolina. I think they start well this year and UGa struggles to adjust to a new coach. Pick: North Carolina + 3
quote:
* Southern Cal
Alabama - 10.5
USC over-hyped. Pick: Alabama - 10.5
quote:
* Mississippi
Florida State - 4.5
FSU is legitimately good enough to cover this, and the Freeze Bears may have some distractions. Pick: Florida State - 4.5

nice analysis & commentary
truth is that the UNC game scares me; their loss to SC last year is still a head scratcher
they were a touchdown away against Clemson from maybe making the playoff this year & will for sure come into Atlanta with something to prove
but I am still picking Dawgs -3

Talking about your own team like that? Also, Tech usually isn't starting their third string QB from the previous year.

butthurt much?
Arky gave up a lot of points to everyone they played with a pulse last year & LA Tech is almost always a top notch mid tier team
and 25 is a hell of a lot of points...

I might take them to cover but you realize they lost a lot on offense and afaik their starting QB might not be playing. I like the under more than anything else.

No, just pointing out facts. I agree they are typically a good team on the offensive side of the ball. However, they are replacing Dixon and Driskell this year. Higgins is out, thus the 3rd teamer from 2015 is up.
All signs point to offensive impotence.

maybe; but how much drop off will there really be at QB?
It's not like they lost a 5* or a 1st rounder for the NFL
I would be more comfortable with a 15 or 16 point spread
it's not like anyone is actually picking y'all to lose...

While I think UK is on the rise, Southern Miss is in no way, shape, or form "bad." They are a trendy NY6 pick.
