Only fitting that Bama and Florida play the 1st and last SEC championship games there.

Not to mention the countless Kickoff classics. Farewell. Still amazes me that bama and UT never met. Maybe we send her out with the two winningest programs playing in the final one.

The Georgia Dome is relatively new as stadiums go, and I attended the '15 SECCG and saw no glaring problems. Additionally, its replacement is literally being built right next door and, from what I understand, will have less crowd capacity. So, why spend all that money to replace it?

To get a Super Bowl. Which they did, so I guess they succeeded.

And CFB playoffs. They get the semis in '17.
They also want to make sure the SECCG doesn't
leave.I'm sure Jerry World or maybe Houston may have taken a shot had not the new facilty been built

Practically the Alabama/Florida invitational. 44% of the appearances (21/48) by just 2 schools. Bama even took nearly a decade off from playing football to give the other west teams a chance.

Well Other than the architecture being sourced from the old Soviet Union, they pipe in sound and the sight lines suck
