Alabama and Florida have won over 50% of the championships...impressive.

The crowds seemed the same inside the stadium to me.

Outside the stadium, 2008,2009 and 2010 had more people.

The 2008 pre-game crowd outside was the most I have seen.
There must have been 150K people.

Did Arkansas win the most games in SECCG in Ga dome?

Are you talking about the crowd noise deal that the Falcons were fined for?WGAS and I can't think of one Falcon fan the could tell you it was even happening.

sight lines suck

Once again,WTF are you talking about? Its a pretty standard layout compared to other Domes of the same era and it's another complaint that never heard

Are you saying the seats are too far away from the field? The field is too low?Just don't see the difference in sight lines compared to just about every other modern daySEC/pro stadium Ive been to and light years ahead of old Fulton County.

Bottom line is that it only cost $100 million to build back in the day (Arthur kicked in another $20 million about 10 years ago) Anyway, its generated billions in revenue and probably on of the best investments the state of Ga ever made...which is a rarity.

And is that supposed to make the dome suck less?

no I am talking about how they pipe in noise for CFB games.

Once WTF are you talking about? How exactly does the outside architecture of the dome somehow effect your game day experience?

What noise? Are you talking about the music that's played? Sound system? The acoustics? What makes you think this "noise"won't be "piped in" at the new facility?

You specifically talked about bad"sight lines".Once again, what exactly are talking about?Do you think the seats are too far away from the field? The field is set to low?

Never once have I heard "sight line" complaints in regards to the dome and have sat in almost section of the facility.I've also been to numerous big time college and pro venue in the south. And the only one that had obvious bad sight lines was New Orleans.Charlotte and Jacksonville had almost identical layouts as the dome (seating wise)

I'd say it pretty plain as a clear day, but apparently you are lost. Just because there are other stadiums with shitty architecture doesnt mitigate the suck at the dome

You do realize architecture is not just on the outside, right?

quote:

What noise?

They pipe in like a static/white noise for games. They do it to make it seem more exciting. listen for it next time you are there. My company has 8 club level tickets for the falcons, so we also get tickets for all the CFB games and bowls. I usually am at, at least one a year, if not both.

Nope,I was comparing them to other stadiums/domes built at the time.

So the architecture inside the Dome somehow hinders your game day experience? Once again, never heard this before. Aisles too narrow?steel beams blocking views?Don't like colors?

Never really noticed but and sounds pretty annoying but what makes you think this won't happen in the new facility?I'm sure they'll have a new audio system at the MCB so perhaps it will be less annoying.
