No our coach Johnny Jones is why we are not a top 15 team it has nothing to do with BEN. We have been out coached in almost every game this season, the only way LSU is winning is by out talenting other teams.

-Many are saying Ben is the Best Player in the SEC and the COUNTRY in 2016.
-Supporting cast? dude Quarterman will make a D league team or play in Europe it's not like Ben has the "Dream Team" hear at LSU.

My only slight is he is immature with his tantrums and mouth. He jaws a little much for me. If you are good, and know you are good, let your game do all the talking.
I don't think I've seen him "jawing" much at all.

Why? Because he isn't flashy? He makes it look easy and is more worried about fundamentals than highlight reels. Most definitely the type of player every coach wants. He will be a player that will be in the NBA for a long, long time.
Exactly. People think because he doesn't throw down Blake Griffin, Sportscenter highlight dunks every possession he's not elite. Those guys can draft whoever they think is "elite". I'll take this kid.
P.S. He does need to work on his shot. But do people think MJ came into the league with a refined perimeter game?

He's an elite player on an average team with an average coach. He's fine.

This is where he sits in the SEC
Points/Game - 3rd (19.8)
Assists/Game - 5th (4.9)
Rebounds/Game - 1st (12.7; next closest is at 9.8)
FG % - 3rd (55.6%)
And I'll throw in that he's also in the Top 20 of blocked shots
Oh-- and in the decades and decades of SEC basketball--which has had its fair share of sort of OK basketball players like Pistol Pete, Shaq, Anthony Davis, Barkley, 'Nique, etc--
No player, of any classification, has finished Top 5 in all of those categories in the same year. Ever.
People who think Simmons isn't elite should play in traffic- they'll get as much out of it, as they do from watching a game of basketball.

If you know basketball and are an impartial observer: Simmons = Elite
If you know basketball and are an LSU fan: Simmons = Elite
If you know basketball and hate LSU: Simmons = Not Elite
If you don't know basketball: Simmons = Not Elite
Simmons = Elite
If your opinion differs, stick to talking football or enjoy labeling yourself a troll.

Don't you ever shame Kittles like that again! Kerry Kittles was the best player in the Big East in 1995 and would have been the best in 1996 as well if he had someone else to help him. For Christ's sake he had to Zeffy Penn and Alvin Williams. Not a stellar supporting cast.
Ray Allen and Allen Iverson said "wut?"

I can't decide if chanting "76'ers!" was a good thing to do or not for the student section.

Alvin Williams was pretty good...not great but not bad.
The other 3 just had better coaches.
And John Wallace was a one man gang most of the season, sometimes Todd Bergan and Otis Hill would show up.
And I'm a 'Cuse fan

Yeah it's his fault we lost games like:
Marquette: Simmons goes for 21 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals
NC State: "Only" 4 points, but 14 rebounds, 10 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocks
Charleston: 15 points, 18 rebounds, 4 assists
Houston: 13 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks
Wake: 21 points, 12 boards, 2 assists, 2 blocks
Florida: 28 points, 17 boards, 4 assists
A&M: 10 points, 11 boards, 5 assists, 3 steals

Final statement been is awesome and has a chance to be great in the NBA if he stays healthy gets tougher, and develops an outside shot.

Exactly, but hey, he's not dominant because we didnt win. That's all. Drop 21, 20, 7 & 2 = not dominant

Magic Johnson, who has no dog in this hunt but knows a bit about NBA talent levels, calls him the best freshman he's even seen factoring in his whole game. He said fans see the 3 point shots, flashy dunks. NBA scouts see his vision, game IQ, passing ability, court awareness. And he's only 18 yrs old.

you mean like LSU was with Shaq and Chris Jackson or like LSU was with Maravich. Nevermind, LSU wasn't top 15 with any of those players
