Because A&M is a big surprise this season well really the defense but y'all have beat bama recently so it's intriguing to see if y'all could do it again but it's mostly because of bama

Winner winner gata dinner. That's what we all wanted. The sorcerers dark magic is ready to be unleashed upon thee. I dare anyone who enters the Cathedral to hold on for life because it will be Saturday Night in Death Valley.

This is simply the power of UTexas.

They want to see the Aggies abused by Bama.

Truth be told, it's fricking Spurrier and he's always due for that ONE big upset game every year!!!

I really believe it's the only reason he's still coaching.....no one does it better than he!!!

because CBS hates A&M and doesn't want them to have a night game to piss off the fans

Probably because CBS has already broadcast Florida. IIRC, there's a limit to the number of times a single team can be featured by CBS.

Pretty sure 2011 we had about 5 CBS games. I don't think they have a limit, could be wrong though.

Bama is the biggest draw in the SEC when they are good. People either root for them to win or root for them to lose but most CFB fans care one way or the other. When A&M plays CBS gets double the ratings in SA, Dallas and Houston.

Combine that with the fact that LSU probably works behind the scenes to get night games as much as possible and you get your explanation.

Would you look at that. A simple, reason, and correct answer.

It's like a troll thread wasn't even necessary.

Alabama currently has arguably the biggest fanbase in America, so any chance they can put a big game with Alabama involved in the spotlight, they will do just that.

Hardly. Bama has the fewest alumni of any state school bearing the state name without some other designation like state or south etc in the SEC. Alabama is the second lowest populous state in the SEC.

But, they do have 96 football national titles.
