Everyone should picture their reaction if back in the summer of 2013 I told you Mizzou would go 12-2 and win the East.
Uh huh.
Big Blue in the ATL isn't necessarily that different than saying Tennessee will win the East. Both are making spin the wheel picks based on good young talent. Why not.

Past two years we've finished 4th and 7th in recruiting according to 247, and we are just now able to start talking about competing. UK hit 23rd and 38th in that same time frame

A lot of people have been sleeping in Kentucky this year and I don't understand why ? They have the best starting qb in the sec and their young talent is one year older. The east is very weak this year and their only competition is Georgia, who doesn't have a QB. Tennessee is way over hyped and will probably just win 7 games. I predict Kentucky to go 9-3 and face Texas A&M in the SEC Championship.

You've hit the nail on the head. I visited family in Kentucky over Memorial Day...so my family slept in Kentucky. There's no telling how many people have slept in Kentucky since last season.

This thread is exactly the same thread as the posters saying that anyone OTHER than Auburn, alabama, lsu, georgia, or florida will win the SEC championship game.
Fun to imagine but won't really happen anytime soon.
In the last 15 years:
Auburn 3
alabama 3
lsu 4
florida 3
georgia 2
Just pick a champion from this list and move on. Quit trying to overthink it.

No, but they will go to a bowl and have an upset or two. Hopefully not us.

That Thursday night game has me worried, just because of the last time Auburn went there.

Your head would explode if Kentucky makes it to ATL.
I can see us like Catfan says, win 7 and head to the Music City Bowl. Taking baby steps.

I have UK going to a minor bowl. They'll be improved. Mizzou better watch-out and be ready!

Why not indeed…
In 1975, Kentucky went 2-8-1 overall and had no wins in conference. That year they lost to #10 Penn State @ Happy Valley by only 1 touchdown. They lost @ #19 Georgia by 1 touchdown. They played #20 Maryland to a 10-10 tie. They limped to the end of the season battered and bruised and played Florida and Tennessee at the end to close it all out.
The following year they went 8-4 in a schedule loaded with home games - same as this fall - Beating #20 Penn State, #16 LSU, and #15 Florida (all at home) along with beating the Vols in Knoxville and #19 North Carolina on the road. UK's schedule sets up well as any and moving TN from the final game to earlier in the season makes it well within chance to find 8 wins this season.
I think most UK fans will be happy with 6 wins but some things may set up for a most unexpected season.
