LSU should be closer to 15--too many unknown variables imo

But I don't understand how AU's defensive ranking is higher than it's offense ranking?
Coaching changes, recruiting and returning starters are all big factors.
Apparently, ESPN is bullish on Muschamp.

This list has Clemson predicted offense ranking at 44, and the predicted defense ranking at 4.
This seems based on last season's team.
maybe they got the defense and offense rankings mixed up by mistake. Clemson has a lot more questions on defense than offense this year.
but for some of the other teams in the list that I scanned, the predictions make sense.

I don't think we have that many unknowns. Clearly ESPN is banking on the fact that LSU has experience at all of the skill positions & a veteran OLINE.
The unknowns are QB,LB & Steele at DC. Even a blind man could win with this defense

I mean, I think we should get something of a bump for Muschamp, but that's probably nuts. Also, seems like you'd have to input that in some subjective manner to weigh it.
Also, we seem to be getting knocked for loss of offensive starters, and not very much credit for CGM, which is also weird.

Anthony Jennings gets arrested so Brandon Harris will be the starter and ESPN moves LSU up from 16 to 5. Lol.

That was the first thing I thought when I saw this post. I'm as optimistic about this season as any but I feel like ESPN is giving us more credit than we deserve for the first time since I've been an LSU fan. Pretty weird that they'd choose this year of all years to do it
Insert Arkansas in place of LSU and you have my feelings in a nutshell. I mean, #10? That's almost scary jinx-level rankings there.

I like you dude but I wish you would quit acting like your fan base are victims here with your sarcasm. Everyone has just called out a couple of vol trolls. Doesn't mean we don't want meaningful banter with you guys. I guess my opinion here will lead to a verbal attack but that's okay. Cheers.
"Everyone" did not just focus on a couple of trolls. This board attacks Tennessee relentlessly, Every fricking Day.

Everyone sleeping on us again. Love being the underdog.

If... and its a big if, things work out for Arkansas then a top fifteen ranking would be great. I'd put us at a fringe top 25 team. Actually I'd swap our ranking with Mizzou at this point.
Unless the wheels have completely come off the Missouri program while I was trapped without internet this last week I still like them to win 10 games this season and compete for the SEC East. That's a top 10 team.
I think Arkansas wins 7-8 games with a horrific schedule; that is a fringe top 25 team. Mind you, I'd love to wind up in the top ten at the end of the season.

I don't know who you are, and I don't care, you are less than fly shite to me and the fact that I'm even responding to an irrelevant person like you is an indicator of just how bored I am today.
Since you are literally worth less than fly shite, stay the frick out of this conversation .

FWIW, I said on page 1 I thought y'all were a bit too low. Jmo.

I believe Alabama and LSU were preseason ranked #2 & #5 in 2011.
It's happening, eh
preseason QB arrest also...

I Agree, we should be just inside top 25 when season starts. Missouri is to low and should be ahead of us maybe top 15.

preseason QB arrest also...
Perriloux - 2007 NC
Jefferson - 2011 NCG appearance
Jennings - 2015 ???
Who got arrested in 2003? Did anyone, or was stuff like that kept quiet and swept under the rug back then?
