We've had a tough West draw lately, and we also haven't been very good.
Agreed. You have a tough draw again this year. Arky is a good football team.
Again, I wasn't insinuating anything. I was just pointing it out to V&S who seems to think Arky is laughable

I don't take them lightly, my was more about the 6 losses than Arkansas.

I like us next year for the simple fact that we will have the most experienced offense in the SEC next year including a 3 year starter at QB
we're gonna be tough for anyone next year
we're gonna be tough for anyone next year

I honestly don't think it's too far fetched to think any of the SEC west teams could lose 6 games next year
Bama might be the most not likely to but they are probably replacing more than any other team
Most likely to lose at least 6 would go to aTm imo

Arky is gonna be a tough out for everyone next year.

I think so as well, but I was speaking more to how tough the division is As a whole. 6-6 in this division doesn't mean you suck, it means you were the suckiest

These are some pretty terrible projections
I'm sure yours would be much better.

Love that Tennessee is being touted as the front runner. Hope more people get on this bandwagon.

It will probably take a few games see where our defense is this year. 7-5 or 8-4 both sound very reasonable for Arkansas.
Bama, of course, has a ton of talent but I am a bit leery about putting them at 11-1 because they have been pushed around by more physical teams the last two years. They have the talent to go undefeated and win the Natty... but you can also see them losing 2-3 games this season.
Mizzou's schedule shapes up fairly well for them. I think people are once again sleeping on another dangerous Mizzou squad.
The Vols are the big question mark. I like where they are as a program and the direction they seem to be headed. I have some concerns over their line play and their schedule does them no great big favors, though they do get Arkansas at home. I'd say they are probably a year away from winning the East though.

Texas A&M 9-3
Arkansas 8-4
Ole Miss 7-5
Mississippi State 6-6

I'm with you here with the exception of limiting Alabama to about 8-4. I have a feeling there wont be a huge difference between last place and first place in the West, similar to last year. Should lead to some interesting games and circular transitive results.

Few big IFs
IF the OL improves enough, we can be deadly on offense.
And
IF we can stay relatively healthy, we can hang with anyone. We have talent, but not depth.
IF both those things happen, we have a good shot at winning the East.
IF one of those things happen, we'll have a good season, with an outside shot at the East.
IF neither of those things happen, it's gonna be a tough year, 6-6, 7-5.

Barring unforeseen catastrophic injuries or motorcycle wrecks, Arkansas should be 8-4 at worst, with a good shot at 9-3. That's as far as I am going to go. Not enough depth yet, but getting better.

You don't need to have catastrophic injuries or motorcycle wrecks to do worse than 8-4.

Y'all remind me of us in 2014: great top end talent but a lack of depth at key positions (OL).
We finished at 9-4 and beat a bevy of very good teams (Boise, Bama, Memphis, and State). Injuries and shite offensive line play really derailed our season.
Our schedule was considerably backloaded and y'all is the opposite, which is definitely important in a league like ours.

I think that is a fair comparison, the only difference I see, is the depth of the West, thank goodness the East is a little easier.

West:
Auburn 10-2
Alabama 10-2
Texas A&M 9-3
Ole Miss 9-3
LSU 9-3
Arkansas 8-4
Mississippi State 6-6
East:
Tennessee 9-3
UGA 9-3
Missouri 9-3
South Carolina 7-5
Florida 6-6
Kentucky 5-7
Vanderbilt 2-10
I have UGA losing to TN, Aub and Bama
TN losing to Ark, Bama and Mizzou
And Missou losing to Ark, UGA and SC
Not sure who'd win the east in that scenario.

All would get a share of the East Division Title. Tennessee would represent in the SEC Title game though.
