So, this is the second time in 2 years that the SEC is penalizing LSU for something that the NCAA let go. That's awesome.

Yeah, Slive should put himself out of our misery. He should defenestrate himself.

LSU is banned from signing early enrollee recruits to financial aid agreements for the next two years, and the program will be stripped of 10 percent of its recruiting evaluation days in 2015, according to public records obtained by The Advocate.

The sec is penalizing you so that the ncaa doesn't have to its a pre emotive move like schools putting sanctions on them selves.

But when the school doesn't impose there on sanctions ( think dillon Day stomping LSU players, and ms state defending him) the sec will hand out sanctions.

I'm sure the ncaa would have taken a way a scholarship or something if they came in and had multiple violations in two years.

No way I allow a kid to sign one of these in the future unless there are some changes made to give the schools more advantages.

If it is a kid you really want why would you not encourage them to sign one of these? It shows good faith on the schools part that they are going to honor the commitment and it really shouldn't be that hard to follow the already in place contact rules.

No, they wouldn't have. Care to explain why Travonte Valentine was cleared to play by the NCAA, yet the SEC held him up for nearly a year?

That doesn't sound like the SEC making a "pre-emptive (This is what I'm assuming you meant to say) move".

ETA: Also, LSU did not have "multiple violations" in a two year period.

LSU wasn't the only universoty that had kids sign multiple FFA agreements with other schools. LSU is just the first to come forward and report it.

No one turned LSU in. It's self reported. I'm sure more schools will follow.

I heard some of this broken down on radio today. It appears that it wasn't simply because of contact. It was because Womack was an early enrollee, but when he chose Alabama he would enroll in the fall. They seemed to imply that if he had enrolled at Alabama as an early enrollee like LSU this would have been a non-issue, but since he became a fall enrollee we were now penalized.

I'm really not sure, but they repeated this.

How many seasons will it be until Womack gets processed? I say after his redshirt freshman year.

Such bullshite, if this was imposed on any other SEC school I would continue to say it's an absurd rule.

It's horseshite that we carry the blame for a student flipping his commitment last minute.

Not if they observed the contact rules for non FAA recruits.

So at what point in time, exactly, did LSU commit a violation?
