If you could have one for the next ten years (assuming Bear Bryant was in his prime) which would you take?

Probably off season, but it is an interesting post.

I'd dance with the Devil everyday and twice on Sunday.

Imagine a saban bryant hybrid. Paul Nick Sabryant.

Saban has had his share of success... but Bryant was a larger the life figure. In his prime he didn't so much represent Alabama, but an entire region of the country.

Having to choose between possible the two greatest coaches of all time. Sucks to be an Alabama fan.

The Bear would have trouble with the media of today. If you are asking which was/is better in their own era then you have a good debate brewing. I say if Saban wins one more you may to give him the nod. Several of Bryant's NCs were split. But then you have to reconcile 13 SECs. I don't think anyone will ever approach that again. Think about how impossible that would be even if you compensated somehow for the extra 4 teams.
It might be debated for the next 100 years.

Bryant did it in a different era. I'm no college football historian by any means but what Saban has been able to do with the SEC at its best and particularly in this division is remarkable. He's had a few breaks go his way during the route to some of those titles but his success during this era in the conference is incredible with scholarship limits and league parity.

Not primarily Alabama fan , but responding anyway! Nothing, imho, was more intimidating than seeing Bear stalk the sidelines, with a cigarette in his hand and fire shooting from his eyes.

fricking Miami Dolphins...
I always think of the fact that Saban leaving gave the Saints Drew Brees and a Super Bowl win when thinking about the championships it probably cost LSU.

The Bear will always be the greaest.

Bear Bryant as Head Coach and Nick Saban as Defensive Coordinator.

Saban is the answer to this particular question. Even though I rank Bryant higher, who knows how he would do today?

Everyone is replying sarcastically because they are too young to even know jack squat about Bear Bryant.

Saban is a proven commodity in this age of college football. That would make sense don't you think?

Saban because he knows how to win in todays college football. Not sure Coach Bryant could
