You guys might remember this bold prediction from this past offseason.

Well, the stats paint a beautiful picture and may even paint me as a modern-day Nostradumbass. Let's review.

Completions / Attempts

Wallace has 93 completions for a team that has made a bruising running game (180 YPG in conference) its bread and butter. Only 2 QBs have completed more passes while 5 have more attempts. Remarkable numbers.

Yards

Wallace has thrown for 1,271 yards thus far which is good for 3rd in the conference. There are a couple of teams that throw the ball 80% of the time and of course they have more yards. This stat is very indicative of Bo's dedication to film study. Outstanding preparer of football games.

Completion %

Wallace has the highest completion % of any SEC QB with over 100 attempts. Also, Ole Miss has thrown approximately 77% fewer bubble screens this year than they did last year. The majority of his throws have been for 20+ yards. Incredible accuracy.

TD Passes

Wallace has thrown 11 TD passes (good for close to first in the SEC) which is once again remarkable due to the fact that he plays in a fairly balanced offense. Over 10% of his completions thus far have been into the endzone. What a marvelous scorer of points.

Interceptions

Wallace has thrown 6 interceptions. All 6 were tipped at the line of scrimmage by a tall, fortunately-placed defensive lineman. Our OL has got to get taller.

Sacks

Wallace has been sacked 7 times by his own defense. Stats have a funny way of not telling the entire story.

Rating

ESPN's made-up fricking fairy tale rating system has Wallace 171, which places him in the top 3 percentile for white college QBs. The accuracy of this rating system is questionable however due to its inability to take into account outside factors such as wind, rain, and temperament.

Last but not least...

Wins

Wallace leads the nation this year in wins with 4. His 5th will come this weekend after he carves up the vaunted but overrated defense of the Alabama Crimson Tide. My (and most everyone else's) prediction is 330+ yards and 3+ TDs with another TD on the ground.

Just another day in the office for a guy who is probably the best quarterback in the SEC going into week 5.

Trill has 5 wins to Bo's 4, more yards, fewer picks. I'll be surprised if OM beats Arky.
