Did any of your childhood/high school friends grow up to be criminals?

Two of mine did:
Friend 1 - Ran a stolen textbook ring and sold weed out of his Georgia Southern dorm room. Made a ton of money and is now a felon. One of the nicest guys I've ever met but something is wrong in his head when it comes to society's rules.
Friend 2 - Beat his girlfriend pretty badly. Never really liked the guy, he always was a dick, but we were "friends" in High School because of geographic proximity.

Yes
A guy I played basketball with has been arrested multiple times for robbery/B&E type stuff. Another HS classmate was convicted of attempted murder for trying to beat someone to death with a bat.

I had it both ways
Some became criminals, and some became cops. I hung out with both but never went all in with the drug side which probably saved my life. Many did not peg me making it past 18 and the rest of that crowd is now either dead or messed up for life. One just recently died in jail after killing 3 people. Drugs totally f*ck*d up their life. Same with another one who died a year ago. Heroin OD but pretty sure they never did major jail time. They started with booze as a teenager and went through all the rest later on. Third one wound up so messed up they needed a caregiver by 40 and was smart when young but now operates around an IQ of 60 or 80. Very sad.

My 1st cousin robbed a bank about 10 years ago. Got paroled and robbed another one. He's gonna be in for awhile. High speed chase on the 2nd after they finally tracked him down. He was loose for almost a week before they found him.

Yes. He did multiple jail stints for minor drug stuff. He died of an overdose at age 24.

At one time, my wife had 4 former classmates on death row.
One of them chopped up his parents and a sibling when he was a senior, I think. He had played at my wife's house when they were a lot younger.

Had a couple sell drugs, but neither ever got caught.

Yep, nine or ten classmates ended up in jail for one reason or another related to drugs (smuggling, dealing mostly). Funny thing is--they all came from a graduating class of only about 70 kids at a Catholic school.

I went to a fairly large suburban high school, so yes, I knew people who became criminals. Two of them are murderers.
The first was on my junior high basketball team. He discovered crack when he was about 15 (this was the 80's). Nobody really knew what happened to him until he ended up on the news a few years later for murdering two family members during a robbery.
The other was a guy I hung out with in high school. He stabbed a guy in a fight outside of a bar. I hadn't seen him in 15 years or more, so I can't exactly say that we were friends.

I have a few but my favorite is my valedictorian. Super irreverent smart arse kid who used his speech at graduation as an FU to all the teachers.
He made it through college w just an DUI. No biggie.
Apparently after that he was at a bar in our hometown and somebody called him a fig. He walked away and the dude keep pestering him. So he smashed a beer glass against his face.
Hilariously, my mom was his probation officer a few months later after he got out. She never told me but at our HS reunion he told me all about it.

Yes.
One of my good friends just got caught running a scam in North Ms. He was buying defective appliances cheap and fixing them and reselling them. He was giving a 90 day warranty guarantee but signing the contract with a fake name.
After many complaints on Craigslist a federal agent went and bought a washer from him, and it happened to break and of course my friend didn't honor the warranty and he has to settle in court now.

Yeah there was this retarded sounding guy that ended up stealing money from a cash register at the skating rink, landed his arse in city jail for a while. I don't remember him graduating high school?

2 friends did jail time for selling coke & heroin in high school
1 Got some sort of manslaughter charge
1 went to jail for selling drugs and later got caught again for robbery or some shite
Don't think anyone else had to go to jail for anything they did.
Disclaimer - most of those were never really good friend.

Yes, my ex-fiance is facing 10-99 for drug related crimes.
One of my best friends in middle school is doing life for murder.
I dodged bullets both ways, cut my ties just in time.
