How did they define loyalty?
I wondered that, myself with that very team reference honestly. I've seen that stadium have tons of mass exodus in lieu of a bad game against a bad opponent.

It's amazing how, according to Facebook, half of my graduating class from high school are alabama fans and u never realized it when we were actually in school around 2003-2007.

amazing that i'm sure most of those people's families had Tennessee vanity plates prior. I see it in memphis now too. i can think of 3 people off hand in my grade and the grades immediately above and below me that were alabama fans when i was in high school 99-03. my class had around 12-15 people in a class of 100 go to tennessee, about 20 went to ole miss, and 2 go to alabama. saw a report of where kids were going to college the past few years, and it's amazing how many "fans" alabama has now. i'm sure it has nothing to do with the success of their football program lately and the lack thereof of tennessee.

At the Vandy-UT game last year, this teenager behind me was talking about her dad who had started buying Alabama gear but still called himself a UT fan. I had to try so hard not to laugh. The people in TN who attended non-SEC schools or didn't go to college are hilarious in how hard they bandwagon. Bill in Smyrna is a perfect example.

Looks like this list is based on large #'s of fans instead of loyalty.
You can't get much more loyal than the Vandy fans who ARE out there.
Clemson & Tennessee I agree with though.

This list rustled our retarded neighbors over in Tallahassee quite a bit.

Arkansas should be on that list. They always suck and the fans are yelling Champs every year.

loyal means winning or losing...UAT fans bail when losing...USCe fans are there all they time. All kinds of wrong here

There was a 15 year period where bama fans completely disappeared.

A 10,000 seat stadium expansion, during one of the worst periods in UA history, would prove otherwise.
The out of state bandwagon might have been smaller, but the core of the fanbase, the diehards, were as numerous as ever.

Agree completely on South Carolina and Stanford. Definitely loyal fans.

The ones who have stayed true over he years are loyal indeed, just not enough of them to make a Top 15 list.

You sound exactly like a caller on Finebaum. Good job.

Stanford? Stanford has like 15 fans. Even with them kicking arse lately they struggle to fill their stadium and I mean, hell, check the damn rose bowl this year

Yeah, but those 15 fans REALLY love Stanford.

Florida with all their empty seats? Yeah, OK then

Stanford? Maybe a few wealthy alums really support the team. Went to a UNC v Stanford game a few years ago. Half empty stadium; no tailgating to speak of; no atmosphere. No one in the greater community seemed to care.
