Admit it, you all are gonna go with the criteria that benefits your argument. OP included

By this logic. Ole Miss, LSU and TAMU are the only schools to have beaten a #1 team since 2008

Therefore, AU has not beaten a top five Bama team in the last 5 years
Correct, of our 6 Top 10 wins, Bama was ranked 7th and 10th.

No it doesn't because the fact you beat a top ten team makes them drop out of the top ten. You people are so freaking dumb

Otherwise, no top 10 team would ever have a loss.

well that act of beating a top ten teams does not automatically cause them to drop out of the top 10

Alabama has beaten 8 teams that finished in the Top 10 since 2008. Which is still more than any other program if we're going to go with final rankings as opposed to where they were ranked at the time of the game.
If true, that's not really surprising. Alabama has pretty easily been the best team in college football during that time frame by most meaningful metrics.
As for the debate about the OP's topic. It has been kind of interesting the inordinate amount of teams (compared to most) that Alabama has beaten that were highly ranked at the time but ended up having sub-par seasons. Just one of those things that appears to be an anomaly that has persisted for a few years.

The word truly probably shouldn't be used in reference to subjective rankings...

No buts...that is impressive. No reason to fabricate stats.

What is bama's record against teams that finished in the top 10?

With some exceptions and variations, the end rank is going to be a better gauge of the quality of a team than an early season or mid-season ranking.
