well yeah, because they take into account peoples opinions, they are far less subjective than one persons personal thought that a team should be ranked higher

Well, we know it wasn't Auburn since Bama has had only one win over an AU team ranked in the final Top 10 (1994) over the last 30 years.

To be fair, it appears that he is using game rank, as opposed to end of year rank.
The 14 wins:
Then #7 2009 Va Tech (finished #10)
Then #9 2009 LSU (finished #17)
Then #1 2009 Florida (finished #3)
Then #2 2009 Texas (finished #2)
Then #10 2010 Arkansas (finished #12)
Then #7 2010 Florida (finished unranked)
Then #7 2010 Mich State (finished #14)
Then #1 2011 LSU (finished #2)
Then #2 2012 Michigan (finished #24)
Then #5 2012 LSU (finished #14)
Then #3 2012 UGA (finished #5)
Then #1 2012 ND (finished #4)
Then #6 2013 Texas A&M (finished #18)
Then #10 2013 LSU (finished #14)
Oddly enough, 2011 Arkansas did not count, as they were not top 10 when we played them, but finished #5.
I'm not sure he didn't just use end of year ranking. If 14 wins is more than all but 5 FBS schools - well, Alabama had 16 wins over teams that finished in the top 25 at the end of the year between 2009 - 2013. That would still be more than 5 of the FBS schools minimum.
Altogether, Alabama has gone 16-7 against ranked opponents in that stretch. At no point during that time has Alabama lost to an unranked opponent. The worst EOY ranking an opponent had who managed to beat Alabama during that time frame was #22 South Carolina in 2010. No other team that beat Alabama finished below #8.

what would that matter...wouldn't their ranking drop when Bama wins?

Dammit, he mated me and I meant to keep it all a secret!
Or make up some vague, non-pertinent stat like "victory over ranked opponents at the time the game was played".
Boom?

Well, to be fair, Auburn has been VERY feast or famine in recent years. Since 2009, Alabama is 0-2 against Auburn teams that finished in the top 2 in the country; and 3-0 against Auburn teams that finished unranked. If the past 5 years remains an indicator, each game will either be:
An INCREDIBLE Auburn team that will win in a heart stopper, or a MEDIOCRE to HORRIBLE Auburn team that will, in all likelihood, be curb stomped.
