The Glades from A&E they have the main character about to get married and just as he is leaving for the ceremony someone shoots him and it fades out showing him lying bleeding on the floor, season finale. Then they cancel the show.

Whoever cancelled Deadwood should burn in hell.

Carnivale on HBO.
One of the best shows HBO has ever done, and they pulled the plug after two seasons right as everything was gearing up.

It's actually kinda hilarious when cancellations work out like this.
Like the last episode of Alf, when the US government comes and confiscates Alf so they can take him to a lab and run experiments on him.. It was supposed to be a cliffhanger but then the series got cancelled, so in effect that's what happened to Alf at the end.

ABC did make a movie where they broke him out after the fact.
ABC's friday and saturday night programming was the shiz in the 90's

1600 Penn was really funny, NBC cancelled it after less than 10 episodes. Anytime Bill Pullman is the president, I'm on board.
Agreed. The show was kinda dumb (thanks to the loser son), but it was getting better.

Anyone mention "Big Love" on HBO?

3. Happy Endings (such a great show, we just bought all three seasons and have been blowing through episodes.)
The wife and I loved Happy Endings, I was surprised when it got cancelled.

The one about horse racing too . . wasn't spectacular, but one season? Because some horses died?
Fix the problem and carry on. I've enjoyed Newsroom for what it is, and it's only going for 3 seasons.
They "finished" Breaking Bad perfectly--doesn't mean I don't miss it. Justified going into it's last season. Wouldn't say too soon, but I've enjoyed it.
At least Rome knew it was coming, so they compressed the final season to close up some loose ends.
Deadwood just ended.

It was good but 5 seasons was enough for it to run it's course.

Long time ago, but Frank's Place only got one season too. Should have been more...
