I made the switch just now. Got tired of hearing Bull from direct tv. Going to DISH. Looked at u-verse, but decided to stay satellite.
Who else is thinking of switching? I feel good. Planned on waiting till July or August, but figured there might be thousands trying to switch at same time.
Go Dish, Go SEC Network and screw Direct TV and Comcast.

You do realize that all the major networks will have the SEC Network by the time August rolls around, right? There's a .000000001% chance DTV and Comcast and the others don't cave in.

They said the same thing about the PAC-12 network. DirecTv still doesn't have it.

I go to enough of the games that it doesn't warrant me switching to dish. I love direct tv.

They didn't cave for either the BTN or PTN for the 1st year, and ESPN is wanting a lot more money for the SECN than either of those other two channels. I'm not saying that they won't cave, but I also wouldn't bet my house on it.

Not really. I have DirecTv and my dad has Dish, the only difference is the interface. It's not like DirecTv has better channels.

Hopper w/Sling + DISH Anywhere + WatchESPN access has no peer. There's a reason Dish has taken "Best of Show" awards for the last two consecutive years. I had DTV for a lotta' years but barring a disastrous collapse, on Dish's part I would never go back.

I'll definitely switch to DISH if DTV doesn't cave soon. What has been your experience in switching? Did DTV pick up their equipment/antenna? Is it a hassle switching? I've been with DTV for 18 years.

I have directv but if those guys havent got SECN by july or so, we are switching to somebody else. Thats gonna be a fact. our contract is over 2 years old now anyway so we can switch without penalty.
