I'm going to come in here and laugh about how all the LSU fans posting are butthurt because their coach is being a bitch and they will only speak the company line. I may even throw in some emoticons so that you know I am serious.
I will say it is ok because I saw some other random LSU posters do the same thing in a different thread so it must be what the rant demands.
Any responses will be met with either more emoticons or melting comments/gif

Well, it's not an "extra" loss in itself, it's just another SEC loss. In that case, the potential benefits are pretty much equal to the potential detriments. That extra SEC win is worth more than a win over ULL, and that extra SEC loss hurts less than, well, a loss to ULL. I think it evens out, especially since the "better resume for the playoffs" was actually touted as a pro for instituting a 9 game schedule.

Alleva and 12 other AD's don't want a 9 game schedule.

Lsu AD - other SEC AD's aren't being fair.
Alleva proving once again that he's a world class bitch
Ahhhhh, yes. That's right. He's a bitch.
But """""""IF"""""":
* The SEC Offices were located on Poydras Street in downtown New Orleans,
* The Head of SEC Officiating, the Head of SEC Scheduling, and the Head Replay Official in the SECCG were ALL graduates of Louisiana State,
* LSU managed to secure a high-school schedule every year,
* A certain SEC school in Baton Rouge maintained high school head coaches in other states to "handle" upcoming 4 and 5 star recruits in said states,
* That certain school also funneled gifts and cash and merchandise and memberships to recruits, players and their families through 'underground, under-the-radar' booster clubs that the NCAA was oblivious to or even turned a blind eye to,
Then you Skoal-Drip-Chin Rosy-Neck Things (as well as other SEC fans) would """bitch""" also........
Cue the 'you mad bro' and 'butthurt' replies by the Skoal-Juice Chin Things, which of course is your opinion.
But you are trying to diffuse the truth - that everything about your program stinks to high heaven, apparently with the NCAA's blessing.
And that's a shame.

In gump logic, wanting to rotate all teams more often = wanting an easier schedule.

Even the LSU AD is a cry baby, perfect fit.

Exactly, at least Alleva has the balls to say he wants this because it removes a tough opponent every year. He's not hiding at all, unlike some coaches who need to bring up cigarettes and sickle-cell to mask their bullshite.

While I agree that staying at 8 should be the status quo until it somehow shows its a negative w/the playoff committee (though I think FCS games should be banned), I just don't get the constant complaining about Florida as their permanent rival.

Saban's stint at LSU must have been where he learned to act like a pussy when someone figured out how to beat him.

I'm not so sure. If the selection committee operates much like current AP and Coaches poll voters, extra losses actually do hurt worse than quality wins help. That's why so many schools schedule cupcakes now. If a team takes a loss, even if they have had impressive wins, and even if the squad they lost to is good, then that team usually drops below many or most of the undefeated teams. Even the undefeated teams that have played only creampuffs.
And teams that lose to ULL don't deserve to be in the picture, anyway.

Going to a nine-game conference schedule buttfricks those of us that have OOC rivalries and/or schedule legit opponents OOC. UGA, USC, UK, UF, and even UTK should be against a nine-game schedule.
The only time I'm cool with I-AA opponents are when they're in-state. USC and Clemson both play Furman, Wofford, Citadel, SC State, etc., as a means to funnel some money to those schools' athletics budgets. I'm 100% OK with that. But scheduling an out-of-state I-AA program when they just started playing football, well, that's some bullshite.
