You probably won't hear Nick say much more about it ,and didn't hear much about it until this offseason. Alleva has been singing this tune for a while.
If Saban complains about HUNH every offseason without any concrete data that it's detrimental to player health, then yea that would make him a bitch too
Oh so this offseason was the first time Saban complained about the pace of the game increasing?

How is it not equal? The big 3 play the big 3. Unless LSU wants to give back its big 3 status. Im sure the piggies would love to claim it.

Yes. An Alabama site picking up a quote from a Baton Rouge paper. Yet nothing on the Tiger Rant about it.

I'm not so sure. If the selection committee operates much like current AP and Coaches poll voters, extra losses actually do hurt worse than quality wins help. That's why so many schools schedule cupcakes now. If a team takes a loss, even if they have had impressive wins, and even if the squad they lost to is good, then that team usually drops below many or most of the undefeated teams. Even the undefeated teams that have played only creampuffs.
And teams that lose to ULL don't deserve to be in the picture, anyway.
But if they operate like the NCAA basketball committee, which seems likely, then the dynamic changes enormously. Instead of a bunch of harried SIDs glancing at the scores inbetween meetings, we'll have a group of people dedicated specifically to evaluating teams and schedules and, just as importantly, discussing their evaluations with others. That tends to make for detail-oriented analysis. Keep in mind that the basketball committee just kept a ranked team out of the tourney because they didn't think the RPI was good enough. There's ample reason to assume a football committee will be equally unforgiving of playing creampuffs, win or lose.

The best thing for everyone is a nine game schedule. He's right the ADs won't do what's best.

Well, it's not an "extra" loss in itself, it's just another SEC loss. In that case, the potential benefits are pretty much equal to the potential detriments.
yeah...no

Wow. I can see you put every last available iota of your brainpower into your counterargument. No, I'm not being sarcastic. I sincerely believe you did. It's okay -- my sister has a kid like you, and he's just the most cheerful boy in spite of the harsh hand fate and extra chromosomes dealt him.

you can call him a whiny bitch but you cant actually refute what he has to say.
does the baseball schedule have permanent opponents? of course not, because logically it doesnt make sense.
with that said i dont mind it the way it is and i am fine with it staying.
but simply calling alleva a whiny little bitch doesnt really do a whole lot to make people consider your opinion. its just comes off as childish.

its so obviously that it would hurt conference teams from reaching the playoff moreso than help i didnt think elaborating was at all necessary. its straight up common sense.
but nice job on the retard insults. it shows me what im dealing with.

Still working on that counterargument, I see. The thing about the "it[']s so obvious" approach is that it's so obvious that's just a way to pretend you have a meaningful reply without actually offering one. The other person who replied to me did so intelligently. You just went with the most banal of responses...twice now.

People don't understand that the SEC won't get left out of the playoff and it won't get two teams in. 8 games, 9 games, it makes no difference. It's a zero sum game. What 9 games does it force ADs to have more exciting matchups, and less double directionals. There is a chronic problem that scheduling too many power puffs is going to create, and I hope someone like Slive with common sense forces the SEC to go to 9 games even when coaches and ADs bitch. Remember, they all bitched about the SEC Championship Game for the same reason they're bitching about 9 games.
