Lost the SEC West
Lost the SEC
Lost Heisman
Lost Perfect Season
Lost season long #1 Ranking
Lost 3-Peat National Championship hopes.
Lost to most hated in state rival.

Not to mention the way they lost...

Does any loss in Alabama's illustrious history even come close to this?

A top 5 team on the road is our worst loss ever?

No, I was at the UCF, ULM, and NIU losses. Those were worse

I felt much worse after the 2011 LSU loss.

We've won 3 out of 4 before the season, and we are still probably only going to lose one this year.

It sucked, but it wasnt THAT bad.

'73 Sugar Bowl will always be my worst.

ETA: People were posting about the little Bama kid crying in the stands? I went out the back door and blew chow.

It was crushing, but I felt worse after the 2010 Iron Bowl. In this game, we just seemed to be destined to let it slip away, and I'm grateful for the amazing run. In 2010, it was more painful to see our first title in a LONG time be matched and forgotten by Cam and company.

All that being said, congrats to LSU and your remarkable victory. All of Louisiana should be proud. Cheers!

And what will add to the pain is that they get to see that play, and hear the Auburn announcer's voice, for the rest of their lives during Iron Bowl week.

That play will never die, thus adding to the pain every year for Tide fans.

3 out of 5 ain't bad. That helps in a time like this. It's not like we're on a drought or anything in that regard.

IMO no, but only because we had a huge lead in 2010 and lost a game we never should have. We gave up more losing this game but it was a tight game between two really good teams.

Looks like a no.

A lot was at stake, but it certainly wasn't the worst loss in Alabama history.

Losing to crappy teams is worse than losing to good teams.

Alabama has lost actual championship games before, and those always feel worse to me than any regular season game can, even the Iron Bowl.

Alabama being in the midst of one of the best runs in college football history with a good chance to stay near the top kind of provides some good perspective too. This wasn't a situation where you feel like this was your one chance and now it's over. I feel like Alabama will be in the mix of the 4 team playoff for the foreseeable future.

This was definitely our TWAT (The Worst of All Time) Iron Bowl.

1973 Sugar Bowl was the worst..by far. For the National Championship...playing Notre Dame...3th and long for ND on their own 4 yd.line with 2 min. left...if they punt, everybody in the stadium (and I was one of them) knows Alabama wins the game...long sideline pass...complete...first down...game over. ...sickness sets in.

Losing to ULM is worse than losing to A top 5 Auburn team.
This is the same as lsu posters saying losing to bama on 1/9/12 is lsu's worse loss. It's ignorant.

This was one of the greatest endings ever in the history of football, and I hate both teams. That being said, Bama will get the pleasure of living this loss over and over again for years to come. Saban and Bama getting screwed by their own BS makes that ending far more memorable than the ranks of the two teams or the SECW being on the line. Gumps saying they are over it are either full of shite or are in denial. This was a game for the ages and an epic fail for Bama.

Yes, and it isn't close. No loss has ever stung this bad. It was literally the most heartbreaking moment of my life.
