in the 2nd half against Florida, LSU & Alabama. They are the only three teams they have played since they joined the SEC that have a decent Defense.
Florida L 20-17
SMU W 48-3
South Carolina St. W 70-14
Arkansas W 58-10 <-Ark's worst team since '92
Ole Miss W 30-27
Louisiana Tech W 59-57
LSU L 24-19
Auburn W 63-21 ,<- AU's worst team since since '52
Miss. State W 38-13
Alabama W 29-24
Sam Houston St. W 47-28
Missouri W 59-29 <- Mu's worst team since '01
Oklahoma W 41-13 <- D gave up avg 37 PPG in the 4 games prior to TAMU
Rice W 52-31
Sam Houston St. W 65-28
Like most Offenses like they run, big scores are run up against weaker teams. They won't be surprising 'Bama coming a tough LSU game this year. Since last playing Bama, TAMU has played SHSU, twice, Missouri, Oklahoma and Rice. Bama has played Western Carolina, Auburn, Georgia in the SECCG, Notre Dame in the BCSNCG and VT in Atlanta. Yeah, I like the way this is setting up.

If only we could somehow limit the game to only a second half.

When the game is in hand, it's not unusual for a coach to pull the starters.

You sound scurred.
FWIW, I think Bama wins this one, but I think it will be a close one.

What about when they're behind?

Last year with 9 minutes remaining in the third quarter until 8 minutes and 15 seconds remaining in same quarter in every game, Aggy didn't score a single point. Think about THAT!

The starters typically remain in the game.

Florida might as well be thrown out, it was Sumlin's first game here and Manziel's first start. Manziel couldn't throw the ball for shite yet and our offense was hardly clicking.
Against LSU, where do I begin? Mike Evans popped up what should have been a 50 yard catch run TD. Kenric McNeal dropped a wide open deep ball where he would have walked in. Our kicker missed a 30-35 yard FG. We could have easily scored 24 in the second half.
Against Bama, our first five possessions of the second half went like this:
1: Three and out
2: Drove the field for a FG
3: Drove the field for a FG (missed)
4: Drove the field for a TD
5: Three and out
Our last possession was when we were trying to milk the clock with under 90 seconds. A&M had 11 offensive possessions against Bama, two of which were end of half possessions. So on nine legit possessions on the road against the #1 defense, we drove for a score on six of them. Of those six drives, the shortest was 50 yards.
The myth that Bama "stopped us" at any point is just that, a myth. With pretty much any other kicker we score 34 points.

Only LSU fans brag about dominating the 2nd half, I thought
I was wrong, o well
