Rueban Foster is supposed to be looking really good lately and could see a lot of reps this year. He easily had one of the most impressive highlight videos of a LB I have ever seen.
OJ Howard could be special if he gets the blocking down this season.
The obvious answer is Julius Randle at Kentucky though.......

Name to remember from State- DeRunnya Wilson- WR
6'5 215 WR...only played one year of HS ball but he has some awesome talent. Still has alot to learn- but his talent will show out this year also.

If Lawson or Nkemdiche have 6 sacks consider that a great year for a fresham DL.The easiest positions for a freshman to translate from high school to college is running back or wide receiver so I'll take Laquon Treadwell.

If this kid has his head on straight- he is NFL-bound.
It shows me that he has some sense and realizes he wasnt going to make the NBA as a 6'5 post player- so he gave football a try and didnt waste his talent.

He was all-state twice- I think even won POY in basketball- but was a 6'5 post player. Gave football a try and he is a beast. He justhas to learn wtf he is doing.

That picture sure makes the rounds on the Rant. Auburn practice photographer has to be in the running for the Pulitzer.

actually ol Gus came callin but it was too late. If he had come out this year- Gus would have signed him.
You gonna be sick you didnt get this one. Bennie Brown also. Two really good kids from Bama we have picked up

Meh, that and he went pretty much unblocked at the camps he attended. He isn't hyped for no reason.

Tony Connor could be a monster playing safety for us. I look for him to be in the mix.

His name is cool, but he goes by his nickname BEAR. He will get some reps this year and the sky is the limit for him.

But a freshman LB in a Saban defense? I'm dubious he'll see enough significant time to qualify as one of the top freshmen in the SEC.
Are we talking FPOY or just the best one? Not always the same thing. Tunsil might have a good argument for consideration too, given the importance of his position and the pressure of a no-huddle offense. Of course, I have no idea if he's going to be a day 1 starter or not. His high-school clips were impressive.

Lawson definitely looks the part and should be a good one if he isn't too dumb to remember to breathe without a breathing app on his phone.
Anyone else notice that his left eye seems to be a good half inch lower than his right even though he appears to be looking straight ahead? Must give him some sort of competitive advantage, being able to see the play on 2 different levels.
Hes definitely got the Shannon Dougherty eyes going...difference is, Aubie fans are the only guys who want to have sex with this guy.

Kind of my point. If he is able to figure it all out a freshman LB can get playing time for Saban. Hightower was starting before he tore his ACL freshman year.
He has shown the ability in the past to be one of the best defenders in the country and if he is able to get the mental side of it down the sky is limit.
