2007 LSU gave up 34 points to a 7-6 Alabama team. I don't think they could beat 2004 uSC either.

All of them. Auburn would have beaten USC that year.

2004 AU
2006 LSU
2008 UF
2010 AU (maybe)
2011 Bama
Other SEC schools (non BCS champ) since 2000 that would have had a good shot.
2006 LSU
2010 Bama
2011 LSU
2004 USC would have probably beaten all other SEC teams since 2000 IMO. The 8 above are the best of the best over the past 12 years IMO.

Ou's secondary was just hot garbage that year.

2011 LSU would have also won.

LSU-03 would have beat usc-04, ML would have stayed on his arse just like jason white did. The defense gave up one rushing TD in the regular season. By the end of the year that defense was playing as well as any I had ever seen. I wont even mention the betrayal of LSU by the AP

The SECSECSEC bias in this thread is mind numbing.
Not sure why I'm surprised though

What is up with all these crybaby Aggies in this thread?
The closest thing y'all have ever gotten to a national championship is envying your big brother's.

lol @ "betrayal." Y'all got smashed by Ron Zook at home.

To this day, that remains the most dumbfounded I've ever been after watching a football game

That was Leak's first start too, and he got sacked 6 times.
Somehow though, Zook won his fair share of big games.

Honestly. I was thinking 05 USC when I made my list.
Let's be real. Outside of 01 Miami, 08 Florida, and 2011 Bama. No team had the talent necessary to even stop that insane team. So the answer is only 08 Florida and 2011 Bama would have a chance. Let's just be real. There was so much pro talent on that roster, and great coaching as well. USC was what Bama is now 8 years ago. Just seemingly unstoppable. It wasn't an illusion, they crushed everyone.

I agree for the most part I would give '03 LSU a chance strictly on how ridiculous the defense was playing at the end of the year.

Yea that team was dominant. I'm not sure who could beat them.
